It seems like they're bigger believers in the patriarchy than we are. And when the "patriarchy" benefits them (childcare jobs, airline seating, war, paying on dates, etc), they're mum about fixing it or pointing out double standards. It's like they'd rather just say "Oh, you got discriminated against? It's your fault for being born with a penis, so we're not even gonna bother with your whining".

I think the only kinda decent argument I've heard from them is the idea that women take the man's surname in marriage, which is pretty weak since it's entirely optional. I personally have already thought of it and have no intentions of making an issue about it should the time come, so it offended me that she had that stereotype about me as though I'm a proponent in some sort of caveman idea that "she mine; she get my name; rawwrrr".
