I think it's somewhere in the middle.

Just because a woman shows cleavage, it doesn't mean you can act however you want towards her. Being overtly lecherous, or purposely harassing her isn't appropriate.

Having a look? Yeah, fine. We're human beings, checking out the people around us is what we do. It's an overly precious person who gets uppity over the kind of look that guy in the video gives. I'd hope that kind of reaction is rare.

At 6'4 with what has been described by women as "husky-like" blue eyes, I get my fair share of looks(not to say I am constantly getting ogled or anything, but you get the idea). I don't recall ever feeling entitled that "certain women" shouldn't look at me or uncomfortable getting looked at. Even women I'm not necessarily attracted to look, I think "let them look, what harm does it do me?"

I'm used to it, fine with it, and if I didn't want to get looked at I could just stay home. I've had girls tell me how "certain guys" make them uncomfortable when they look at them and I just kind think "wtf is this coming from?"

I for one feel like I'm being sexually harassed and teased by women whenever I go out into public. And I'm not one of those "lowly beta males", either; I've had no problems with women since high school.

Especially uncomfortable for me is whenever a woman who's obviously younger than 18 is walking about dressed like a prostitute. (Prostitot?) When I'm walking down the street and there's a group of 14-17 year old girls dressed like strippers, I get really uncomfortable and immediately cross the street. It's not even an issue of "rights" - It's just not appropriate for people to walk about barely dressed.

This article has some points, but it also seems to ignore the fact that oggling/catcalling goes on even when women aren't "flaunting" themselves with their dress. There is some responsibility to be shouldered by girls who wear revealing clothing, but there's also a fair number of dudes out there with boundary issues who believe that finding someone attractive gives you free reign to make them uncomfortable.

What I think is really quite funny is this: as a good looking guy, the amount of groping I've endured is practically endemic at night clubs. It's a bit unwelcome now because I am engaged, but in all honesty, I didn't mind it, even coming from less attractive girls, simply because I thought "Wow, at least they are taking the initiative!"

Though having a 21 year old girl try to jam her finger up my ass on a dance floor was a bit too much...

I think women would just want men to be a little respectful. If I as a woman dressed in short shorts and a sports bra to go to the gym, it's for comfort and because I am going to be hot, not because I want sexual attention. I know someone might look at me, but there is no reason to be obvious about it. It's not an invitation for comments.

And therein lies another one of the feminist double standards. Men are required to act gentlemanly and chivalrous towards any and all women they encounter, while on the other hand, women are allowed to reserve the right to act lady-like only towards the men they consider to be "attractive". Can you imagine the female/feminist response if men made it clear that from now on, whenever it happens, men will only open doors, stand up at the table, and doing other such things, only for the "attractive" women. My god, the shit-storm they would throw would be mind-boggling.
