I guess this falls under men's rights because basically everything you do you are percieved either as an asshole or a sissy. Anyway, recently I found myself in such situations. I had an assignment in the class and I've never done such thing before and this girl started telling me how stupid I am and how she hates stupid people and she kept on going on and on and trust me when I tell you that she went over the line. Now, I had 3 choices: ignore her, start yelling at her (and she would yell back and it would go on forever) or slap her. I chose to ignore her and I fel like shit afterwards because all the thigs she said, I'm not a phlegmatic and I take stuff serious. Now I hate going to class and try to avoid her because every time she sees me she starts laughing at me and trolling me. In the other situation, a girl in my dorm was yelling and screaming extremely pissed for some reason and I told my friend: wow, she's lost it. She obviously heard me and diverted her rage towards me saying some really nasty stuff, so I just walked away thinking that I shouldn't lose my nerves over some random crazy chick. So, I in the first case, everyone in my class thinks I'm a confused sissy and if I started yelling or something else, everyone would have thought me crazy. I'm asking you what would you do, this ignoring thing made me really bitter and I always think about how I should've behaved. If it was a male insulting me, I would have no problem handling it, but when it comes to women, a guy really needs to look out. I'm curious, am I a sissy and did I do the right thing? Am I the only one who feels that society makes us take shit from women?

EDIT: I've gotten so many responses and great advice. Thank you all, I love this subreddit, you are all awesome. :)
