EDIT: Her assertion that girls are always sad-eyed victims in cases like these is also completely sexist. As many of the comments to the article stated, girls hit puberty and mature quicker than boys-- making them just as horny and "up for it" as boys, if not more so.

While I think most teens (of either gender) are capable of consenting to sex, it's extremely fucking inappropriate and wrong for a teacher or other authority figure to abuse their trust with their students and have sex with them.

It's fucked up and people who commit that kind of crime (whether male or female and whether their victims are male or female) deserve to have the book thrown at them. As would a doctor or police officer or counselor or coach or anyone else with authority over young people who misuse their positions in the community.
