An utter wreck of a justice system.

The girl raped her brother but she's still the victim? And the kid got sent to juvi for a crime he was the victim of? Really? What bullshit justice is this? I feel sorry for the kid. He is going to be mentally fucked up.

It's India. I'm not even surprised. Living here is like being on death row but for the rest of your life. I, like many young people in the country are desperate to finish our education quick and seek better opportunities abroad.

Call me a traitor, a terrorist, anti-national, whatever, but I believe that India has turned into a shithole county.

Yes I agree. I don't usually experience it firsthand in anything except education. Fuck these reservations.

Well that's what happens when you get tribalistic and attached to a piece of land or some ideology instead of attached to reason. Unthinking deference gets people into trouble eventually every time, but what do they do? They do it again, and again. It's so mind numbing.

Every citizen should have the right to speak up about or against the negative things of their country. Jingoism is moronic. I used to be a starry eyed "patriot" with a belief that India is a great county with some flaws but we can work together on the flaws to make it better. Now I'm just a citizen who knows that if you criticize the government then you are a terrorist. Then the lynch mob of "patriots" will come to your house to teach you "patriotism" while every news channel shows your face telling everyone that you are an anti-national.

Many people especially in the US don't realize just how bad or non-existent the judicial system is in many countries.

[–]falls_asleep_reading 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's pretty bad/non-existent here unless you're rich, though, and cops get put on paid administrative leave for murdering people in cold blood. So yeah, we really do get it.

Hell, we even had one case where a policeman shot a guy who was obeying commands with a firearm that said "you're fucked." He was fired and then re-hired just long enough to qualify for a disability pension on the grounds that the murder he committed gave him PTSD (and yes--that really happened here).

I think that a lot of people may not realize how bad the US justice system has gotten in the last 30-40 years. And it's not getting any better.

[–]MillennialDan 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I realize there are some bad cases here, and although I agree the Daniel Shaver business was horrific, I imagine we'd disagree about other potential police injustices. It's a big country after all. But on the whole, it has until now been better than most other places in the world. Still, your pessimism about the future of our judicial system is not without justification.

[–]Draco877 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem arises when a person keeps supporting the thing that caused the issue after leaving because of it. as some do in the different states in the USA.

Duh... she's got a vagina. There's law precedent for this. It makes you get away with all sorts of sexual crimes including pedophilia and in this case incest and most harassment and assault charges.

It's sad but that's where are right now.

[–]chakamaki 56 points57 points58 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s india… being an Indian men is like most dangerous crime… first you are a man in a feminist world and second you are in a country where people thinks men are natural criminals even proved otherwise and women are natural innocent even proved criminals…

If you have a Vagina (no matter age) you are automatically seen as always truth speaking and your words are evidence not anything else is required

India needs to change it’s justice system, not only justice system India has to change a lot of things

[–]AndemianAndem1 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yep, like the caste system.

[–]Mahameghabahana 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sadly caste system would never go away. The lower caste majority won't allow it. Afterall why allow it if you can get more reservations and send a upper caste person to jail via sc/st atrocities act. In india a democratic country where lower caste people are majority they introduced a reservation not based on our economic situation of a person is but based on caste. Why the fuck lower caste majority would ban the caste system lol.

[–]TheVirginJedi 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

In 2020-21 alone, the violence against lower castes rose by 56% compared to the previous year. I see people complaining about SC ST Atrocities Act more than people who condemn the atrocities themselves. There were upper caste perpetrators who were sent to jail for Atrocities yes, but a good proportion of them use money, power and political clout and intimidation to make the victims withdraw their cases. I have personal experience in this.

Now, why not economic reservation. There are welfare schemes for the economically weak upper castes, in schools its called a scholarship and there are govt schemes to provide loans to people with weaker finance to start businesses, govt schemes to get training in a trade to improve skills for a better livelihood. Despite a great number of people belonging to the OBC category improved their financial situation, their contribution and participation in the government and bureaucracy are still low. The reservations were set to improve their chances at being part of this. Financial betterment not equal to social betterment (at least that's what some people think) no matter how rich a dalit is he's still a dalit. I've seen father's rejecting their daughter's boyfriend's marriage proposal because he was Dalit. He was an inspector in the Central Narcotics Bureau and the girl's father was a postman. My friend was a second generation govt employee and this girl's family was dirt poor, still it didn't matter to the father. Caste was what he cared about.

[–]Mahameghabahana 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

And how many of these cases are regular crime rather then caste crime? you are a men right activist right? So you should know why people complain about about SC/ST act and who told you people support killing of a human being? I know you low caste people thinks of us as demon who aren't even human and want to kill us but plz at least have a little sympathy for us folks. I know its hard not killing us like you guys did during 1948 riots and to kashmiri pandits but at least try. Btw would the 3 brahmins boy who got their eyes cut out and killed by dalit men should also file their cases in SC/ST act? What about the pandits who got beaten to death or about another pandit who got burned alive? You guys are majority and should know hatred of caste can go both way. You won't see people supporting killing Dalits but I can say with confidence people supporting killing Brahmins.

[–]TheVirginJedi 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How does a crime become a "caste crime"? Does the perpetrator have to shout caste slurs while doing the crime? In most of these crimes, the perpetrators are confident that the victim won't be able to defend themselves. They're attacking a weaker victim.

No, I'm a feminist.

From what I seen, no people come forward to actively stop the killing of a human being so I'm guessing they support it. Or to the least they don't care if a human lost his life or is beaten, because he's not my acquaintance.

I can't speak for all low caste people, but personally I don't consider the humanity or the inhumanity of a person based on their caste. Mostly because I have friends from almost most social backgrounds. But, I do have met people who think in ways that "upper caste people are casteist and want to reestablish the caste system" mentality, and in most cases, they've themselves faced caste violence and discrimination. They have their reasons to believe what they believe, but despite all those, I've never seen a low caste person who would threaten another person with violence just because of his caste.

I like how you used "I know its hard not killing us...." its a nice move to imply that "because I disagree with you I intent harm on you". Let me clear that up, I don't. Because you aren't that special. I've heard this, I've been made out to be the aggressor, abuser, male chauvinistic pig many times. All these distraction tactics just makes me smile now.

There it is... the Kashmiri Pandits... Everytime, there are Kashmiri Pandits, apparently every massacre from 1949 to 2002 somehow doesn't count when it comes to Kashmiri Pandits.

I have seen people not just supporting, but calling for Dalit violence. I've been threatened with violence for talking against Dalit Atrocities. But, I can honestly say nobody threatened to kill a Brahmin village or Brahmin clan because of an intercaste relationship.

Google Translation:

"Mumbai's Kurar police investigated a case during which the shocking case came to light. Kurar police said how expensive it can be to give mobiles to children and what kind of shameful statements come to light. According to police, they received reports of a 16-year-old minor girl getting 5 months pregnant from a hospital. When the police who reached the spot questioned the girl, the police were also shocked and ashamed to hear what she said about her habits and pregnancy. According to a statement made by the girl to the police, she became fond of watching movies for a few days and slept under the bed in her small house with her younger brother in the house. She also forcefully showed movies to her brother on mobile. She later pressured her brother to have sex with her without her consent, during which she became pregnant. No one found out about it. When the police questioned his minor brother to confirm the victim's statement, he confirmed everything the sister said and told the police that when he refused to do so, his older sister would start beating him and threaten to tell everyone about it. So he listened quietly to the sister and was forced to do such a wrong thing. Also Read - Mumbai News: Top model and actress caught in sex racket used to charge Rs 2 lakh for 2 hours

Police have registered a criminal case and sent the accused to a juvenile home while the victim is hospitalized. Dna of others, including parents, is being examined. According to Senior P.I. I'm not sure if the "juvenile home" is a detention centre as stated in the heading to this post.

The mere fact that the girl was referred to as the victim and her brother the accused speaks volume.

She later pressured her brother to have sex with her without her consent

Such logic...

The mere fact that the girl was referred to as the victim and her brother the accused speaks volume.

I agree.

[–]HelpMeGetAName 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The post actually says

She later had sex with him without "his" consent.

Resulting in the pregnancy.

[–]Thedoritowizard28 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They tried to word the story in a way that made her look like the victim they even said “she pressured her brother to have sex with her without her consent” she made him do it and they said the girl never gave consent so the boy is the rapist in the situation. They are trying to change the story to the point where the younger brother is the villain but it just doesn’t work.

[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 70 points71 points72 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This boy will suffer life long effects from this trauma.

This case proves that women indeed rape men by making them penetrate and that we need to change the definition of rape to reflect that. When Gen Z grows up, after being raised on radical feminist bullshit, these things may change.

[–]Drekdyr 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When the status quo is forced down peoples throats, people tend to rebel against it. I'd say that Gen Z will eventually reject all this radical cancer

Feminists never address things like this when it comes to gender inequality in India.

[–]jmcsquared 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Which is the biggest reason why feminism fails. It ignores half of humanity but also claims to be "equality."

[+]BaraGuda89 -51 points-50 points-49 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

That’s like saying Christianity fails when Christians don’t take care of their neighbors. What you are referring to are people who aren’t feminists, even if they claim the name

[–]Malzun 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Last I checked, wasn't there something about loving thy neighbor? So one could argue that you're failing at being a Christian by your own rules.

[–]BaraGuda89 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

First, I’m not a Christian, I was using it as an example of people co-opting or misrepresenting ideas. Second, what are you talking about? I personally believe feminism is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. Where’s the lack of love?

[–]deljogamer1200 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You see nowadays there are barely any real feminists out there are only feminazis self proclaimed feminists who put women on a pedestal and make em look superior to men no they aren't superior or inferior And in india actual feminists never make statements only feminazis do

[–]jmcsquared 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Actually, that's called the no-true-Scotsman fallacy. Try again.

[–]jmcsquared 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Nope. You just suck as understanding what people are saying.

[–]BaraGuda89 -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Feminism isn’t a heritage. It’s an ideal. And it’s defined as the advocacy for woman’s rights BASED on EQUALITY and the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.

That's fair, but then why do so many feminists ignore men's issues and focus almost exclusively on women's or minority's issues?

What I'm trying to do is separate technical feminism (which I agree is, by your definition, about equality for all) from pragmatic feminism (how feminism is enacted and carried out in the real world by those who claim to be its adherents).

What I'm trying to get you to see is that feminism, as a sociopolitical movement, may have evolved into something that doesn't represent what feminism initially stood for. At least, I would argue that this is what's happened.

[–]BaraGuda89 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why does the mensrights subreddit focus almost exclusively on men’s issues!?

[–]jmcsquared 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because r/Feminism ignores men's issues. Somebody's gotta talk about them.

And more to the point, r/feminism is straight toxic towards men's issues (and sometimes just towards men or masculinity in general). Whereas, this sub isn't going to just jump on the misogyny train; if it does, I'll be the first one out.

Sexism is bad, no matter who it's directed at.

It doesn't matter even he was the same age. If she is willing to beat and to threaten to tell people on him, he could be forced into compliance.

He may not be willing to fight back, so even if he was bigger than her, she could still force him to watch movies and have sex with her.

Op post this on other subreddit also. And can you post about that noida 16 year old girl and 12 year brother too?

[–]Mahameghabahana 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A girl in Noida City of india had a relationship with her 12 year brother and in return got pregnant. Her mother worked as a maid so their owner saw a bump on her belly and called the police. Her brother was charged with rape and even the article call him a rapist.

My god, I can't even speak to the level of pure disgust I feel reading this- Genuinely makes me nothing short of absolutely ashamed in every sense of the word to be called human if this is what any part of humanity thinks of as morally correct.

In this regard, the police have registered a criminal case and sent the accused to the Children's Correctional Home, while the victim girl is admitted to the hospital.

Indian MSM goes nuts when some bollyshit celebrity drinks some 200$-per-litre water, but when it comes to real issues, these nut jobs are always silent. Not surprised this story is not in spotlight.

So I'm told India is a very bad place for women because most rape. I don't disagree, but to what extent has the statistics been skewered by incidents like these? Will we ever know?

[–]Darth_Kael 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Could you clarify what you mean by "most rape"? It's too vague and ambiguous for my taste and I don't like its implications.

[–]reddut_gang -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Someone told me india has the most rapes. Maybe it's true, but one must consider that by the law, only women can be raped.

[–]Darth_Kael 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

All right, most rapes by what? Is it referring to a total number, or a per capita basis? Because of both measures, India comes nowhere close to the highest. Maybe by media reportage? The media here is very active in sensationalizing gender-based and religion-based crime.

[–]reddut_gang 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

probably by media reportage lmao

[–]deljogamer1200 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The amount of rape cases in india which includes male rapists is high cuz most of the time the male victim is charged as the rapists even tho the female was the rapists and the government makes the female rapist look like the victim

  • the dick, which has to be erect for intercourse, is on the boy.
  • why didn't he tell his parents?
  • how could the girl have forced boy? It's physically not possible.

Are you a misogynist?

[–]redricblue 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I think whole thing isn't clear, more context is needed. But the girl actually threatened to blackmail him.

[–]Yogi10997 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

the girl's in hospital because the doctors need to do smth about the 5 month old foetus. the legal period for abortion in india is 20 weeks, so quick has to be taken.

the boy is probably taken there to question him further about his sister's exploits in isolation, otherwise his parent's might force him to shut his trap so authorities couldn't press severe charges against his sister.

[–]redricblue 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I have a feeling the boy isn't completely innocent, 13 years have raped before.

[–]Yogi10997 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He is Juvenile centre. Its meant to hold minors who commit crimes

Ig its possible that he would be given special treatment cuz officials know about the case and the girl has also confessed her crime.

Also, do you know girls can't be punished ? Fuck this socialist constitution. Goddamn cringe

[–]redricblue 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[+]mookaji2 -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Apparently a man cannot be raped by a woman . A man in fear cannot sustain an erection according to a video I watched on YouTube. I believe coercion is possible in this scenario and also sexual abuse . Rape is the wrong word and used out of context in the American judicial system . I’m not sure how I’d describe this ??? Clearly the older sister is a perpetrator and her younger brother the victim . It probably is rape although the Youtube videos aspersions are probably wrong .

[–]Dyslexic342 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Viagra plus a cock ring will make short work of that argument. With that one two punch, anyone of the male species is capable of being raped.

[–]mookaji2 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What, raped as in anally penetrated ?

[+]omegaphallic -11 points-10 points-9 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That is vile. Was it rape or "rape", like did he consent, but it doesn't count or was it straight up rape? because if the former no one should be punished as she is a minor herself and if the later she should be punished.

[–]Extra-Strike2276 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

According to the translation she hit him and threatened to tell everyone if he didn't have sex with her. So forced

[–]omegaphallic 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, straight up rape, and he got punished, how disgusting.

[+]hackflashklopfer -12 points-11 points-10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course the mainstream Media ignores it, do you know how often People get raped? If the media would cover every case of rape in india, we wouldnt get to hear about anything else kek

[+]Southerndude62 -13 points-12 points-11 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You guys in India should join China or Pakistan to overthrow this system of chronic anti male bias in your country.

[–]manicraccoon 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Those countries aren't stable themselves.

[–]Southerndude62 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

China is stable. In a wrong way stable, but stable.

But from the reports I read, India is pretty much the country where women can kill a man and get away with it. How are indian men going to change things, if not by external intervention?

[–]MrCoolyp123 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Uhhh if you didn't know, the situation between India and Pakistan/China is bad and joining them is out of the question.
