That said, I do disclose that I’m a divorcée on the first or second date and have never once gotten an alarming response. It’s not even a great vetting thing, honestly, although the range of responses from the mildly flippant to the genuinely empathetic have been interesting to see. I certainly wouldn’t advocate opening up to the degree it sounds like she did leading into this clip, but the problem here is more about him and his whole existence than anything she did. Her opening up did not make him behave that way.

Ladies, never entertain such men, they try to play the "devil's advocate"/"a pro debater" but honestly they have one set of rigid views and they are just there to make you miserable in a conversation and topics that they themselves have no stake in. You do not have to ANSWER/DEFEND/PROVE yourself to any of their bullshit questions, remember your time is GOLD, theirs is obviously not. JUST LEAVE of possible.

If you are, however, unfortunately stuck with them for a while, just continue to bs question them, an example (for this vid) would be "Really? What do you mean by that what are New Yorkers are like?", "Really? You have been in love? Describe how that was.". Avoid answering their questions and just let them speak their head off, and finally when it is time, escapeeeeeeeeeee

Just want to shout out to this girl for handling this with grace and class while still standing her ground and proving her point. The look on her face says it all though. I have been on dates like these before and I just shut down and start smiling and pretending to agree until I can gtfo. Notice how when she disagrees she does it with empathy and is still non-judgemental and not attacking him for it, but when he does he goes for the jugular. What sticks out to me is how defensive he is. This is why conversing, or attempting to converse, with a LVM is so pointless. If you try to question them even a tiny bit, you will get this utter explosion. THEY can question you all they want, but as soon as you push back in the slightest, it's like "OMG, you are so out of line" gaslighting. Like how he basically attacked her for her marriage, and then she just politely says, "Well, we're obviously not going to have a second date" and he's like "Alright" and stands up and storms out. So him offensively interrogating her about her culture and history is fine, but her saying they wont go on a second date is this totally out of line attack worthy of a storm out?
