As of right now, reports have at least 170+ dead Afghani men, women, and children. None of which are being mentioned.

My heart goes out to the families of everyone who was killed. Particularly given that none of this needed to happen. Male or female, young or old, it's a tragedy.

Honestly, when it first happened, all I was hearing was "13 killed..." I just assumed it was all men because they didnt say some shit like "11 men and 2 women". That was the first couple of days. Then I saw an article about the girl holding the baby. I was like, "oh wow... there actually was a woman involved... okay... props for not immediately saying 11 men and 2 women." Then, I see a picture of a 23 year old guy killed. Then this post. So, my point is, it depends on what media you look at.

As a Marine, it’s because there are so few female marines and even fewer female marines die in combat related deaths.

That’s not to imply that my brothers didn’t matter, but it’s just less likely that my sisters, historically, will face the same outcome.

World war 2..... True brave men fighting for their country for their wives and children. Those men ate shit to survive. Always in the frontline sacrificing their lives. What of women in WW2 ? There were less than 10000 deaths and even less than 5000 in america who died fighting the war. They say 400 000 women recruited for world war 2 in America but less than 1000 who actually died from enemy fire. They were either snipers that shoot enemies from far away and who died mostly from a mortar shot or a bullet. Dying for the country is courageous but none of it can even come close to the sacrifices of men. Men who rushed every frontline, Men who drove tanks to the cross fire and then got burned alive inside it. Men who were taken and interrogated with an immense pain yet managed to kept their mouth shut to save the mother land. Men who died in huge numbers, over 50 million. These men's names need to be written in gold in the history. Not telling women didn't fight the war but what today's society making world war 2 looks like is dreadful. That battlefield V game shows a man get killed by a woman with a bat. And it's like half the army was women and they've written a man's sacrifice as a woman's sacrifice in that game. And the game claimed to be a story based on real events. What kinda crap is that? Not only they're disrespecting men who fought the war but also the few women who've actually fought the war. Same goes for than vanguard sniper in Call of duty. Games, films and books just hide the reality today. We need to show the truth to the world.

Dude, no. I'm from New Zealand. I go on Facebook every day to connect with home, and I have only seen articles about two of the men that were killed. I didn't even realize any of them were women until seeing this post just now.

The two men I saw articles for were Kareem, whose mother rightfully lashed out at Biden.

And another man who was only 23 when he died, but was the last man killed in action in Afghanistan.
