You'll notice the framing of the article from the beginning all the way through painting the female victimizer, the now convicted criminal and murderer of an innocent man as someone was who abandoned by others "No one tried to intervene or seek help for Anu".

Its a constant theme throughout the western world now. Even where women have committed the most heinous of crimes, such as this or murdering their entire family of children there will always be at least the framework laid down by media, politic, NGOs, "equality" groups, that it is in fact she who is the victim of others failures, of men, of the system, of society which of course we are told is controlled by "The Patriarchy" TM.

At the end of the article they then effectively celebrate the female killer for her actions during her mere 4 year stay in a womens prison (no doubt with greater comforts than the mens). "She served just four years of her 10-year sentence, using her time behind bars to complete a Masters in Criminology". Stunning and brave.

This is quite an old case.
There's a really powerful book and movie about it.

The author discusses all angles and is clearly frustrated about how the story becomes about the murderer not the victim, apparently because he is a man. His value can only really be seen through the grief and anger of his parents. She ends each section with words to the effect of whatever you think of all that, joe cinque is still dead.
