This is just typical feminist brigading. Nothing new here. But we all know that 60% of domestic violence is reciprocal and about 24% are men on woman and 16% are woman on man.

So DV is about equal practiced by men and women and because I agree that a lot of what women do is DV but not considered DV, like trying to get the kids to hate the father, to say DV is equal is being very fair to women.

Another post on r/india asked if people had abusive fathers.

Best comments were about how they were abusive and controversial were the ones where people said their father was nice.

Yet, comments that oppose feminism's tenets, even those that aren't actually misogynistic, are all but invariably downvoted to hell.

That Redditors always come to the defense of women against men, even when there's no sound moral justification for doing so, reveals just which sex is favored on this site, and really society at large.

Commenting about male abuse JUST because someone brought up female abuse is petty and sad. It's rightfully downvoted. Just as anyone here trying to detract by discussing female abuse will be downvoted.

It got downvoted because it's just plain wrong. There are no different criminal laws for men and women.

Stop using these examples as proof of a problem. It's this kind of garbage that makes the movement look bad.

Part of the human condition is that someone is going to abuse and take advantage of you in terrible ways. Sometimes we are lucky enough to recognize and escape it early. The problem is that when its a woman abusing a man, when he snaps the differences in strength always ends badly for the woman, and the state is more than willing to look at this as a single incident of male abuse against a female. I don't see this changing anytime soon. When it comes to most abuses( physical, emotional, psychological, etc) against men, the most active and effective advocates tend to be second wives. Sadly they may have been just as horrible in their first marriage, but now see how they acted through different eyes.

All that said, you are never going to reach anyone in a mainstream group, let alone a feminist group with any message that men aren't the aggressive monsters that need civilizing.
