Hello, I am F33 seeking relationship advice. I've been in a serious relationship with a man for 7 years. He was always special to me and I cannot imagine spending my life with anybody else but him. He has it all, he is a family guy, handsome, I am incredibly attracted to him, sex is the best, we share the same sense of humor, he is incredibly smart and strong.... However, during our relationship I did not always act my best and it got worse and worse towards the end. Breaking point when the issues have started was when I flirted with my colleague for about a two months at work, seeking attention, having feelings for him even thought I was not attracted to him on physical level.

I handled it in the worst possible way - by lying and uncovering the truth in portions over a long period of time to my boyfriend. Lies became my habit and each time when I feel like I am saying something bad, embarrassing or too truthful, I lie. I believe you can already guess I caused too much of a damage and ruined the relationship and beautiful future we could have had if I was honest person. I am not seeking any "validation" that everybody lies or everybody makes mistakes, because I know I f*ck it all up.

There is a different advice I am looking for here. Because of me being dishonest, he does not believe anymore I had no physical contact with that colleague, neither any date. It is killing him inside. All he wants is truth, not accepting anything, only if I say I slept with the guy or did other sexual practices. We are running in circles, where all he wants is relief of knowing the truth and all I want is understanding I really didn't do anything physical with him. I was even considering I would make up a story how I had a sex with the guy just to close that topic, but that would be just another lie...right?...If you have any idea how to break this circle and bring him peace in his life and have a closure, I will appreciate it incredibly!
