it's actually one of things that both men and women agree on, how much of a low life DR phil exploiting the vulnerable. i remember this one episode he brought a guy on who did bum fights for money or food etc just to kick him out on TV and this guy called him out on the same business module of exploitation least he was honest.

I used to enjoy his shows but watching the way he talks to certain men completely ruins it for me. Men are entitled to self defense and freedom from abuse.

Also, calling someone a chicken shit coward in a room full of cameras and security is a pretty cowardly move. What is he going to do, smack you in front of a crowd of people and security?

His entire schtick is just an asshole on a power trip. There are bunch of celebrities like this, Opera, Dr. Oz, Gordon Ramsey, Judge Judy. People love to live out their vengeance fantasies through these people and in turn glorify these jerks.

It's not just Dr. Phil. It's the Hollywood movies, mainstream News, magazine publications, and therapists that are destroying women by telling them there are no consequences to their actions (like sleeping around with dozens of partners, getting divorced because they find their husbands boring, focusing only on career at the expense of their family, telling them their "40s are the new 20s").

Unfortunately, many women realize way too late they've been lied to (around mid-30s) when they don't have a relationship or a broken family, and become bitter and angry.

What's worse is that they then go to forums and repeat these lies to younger women.

Dr Phil is just a manifestation and extension of an archaic status quo. He's an entertainer and an artifact of generations past. I don't think he would be as popular as he was if he had made the right calls or stood on an egalitarian/consistent platform. He's just echoing what most viewers already think, and most people are inherently anti-male. They don't really understand how they are or how much of a problem it is but they are.
