ant equal pay (which you already have) -> Woman who need to focus on balancing children and work actually get penalized, despite the raising of children mandatory to that company and every other company's future. So I mean, only unmarried woman without children get fair treatment imho.

I want to pay equally, but if im told we're splitting on the first date, im splitting before that. I firmly belive in manners. Insist to split if u dont want to see him again, or grab the check on the second date, but never accept a second date with a man so tight he makes a show of splitting the first. I think taking turns feels way better then just splitting everything because then you are gift giving in the process, and that should be done equally.

I'm kind of traditional and want to one day be a stay-at-home mom, so I want a guy I can depend on and who I feel would be able to provide for a family. I like it if the guy pays for dates and stuff, but I wouldn't like it if they were only doing so because they felt obligated. eg. my boyfriend usually pays because he enjoys treating me. I try to give back to him in ways that are meaningful to him in return and chip in every now and then if he lets me.

Basically. I'm open to paying equal and stuff, but I prefer a guy who provides because that's what I have in mind for a long term relationship. It doesn't make a guy less of a man for not paying, but I do appreciate if he does (obv doesn't have to pay for everything ofc).

If the guy expects me to wear make-up, uncomfortable clothing, pretend to be interested in his boring life, not get offended by all the social faux pas he makes, and not try to attract the attention of any available better men, hell yes, I expect him to pay 100% for the date. It's has nothing to do with "hypergamy" it's about proper compensation for time and effort.

Women do not have equal pay unless you’re thinking of small bullshit hourly wage jobs or very pay transparent jobs like teachers or police officers for example. Talk to women in tech or administration of companies etc. Level up, it’s not equal.

I always make sure I can pay for the entire bill. I find it nice when a guy offers to do so and will be more likely to go out with them again. I am a pretty generous person. I like to get gifts and do nice things for people I love. It's one of the ways I show affection. If a man offers to pay and is very generous with me on a date I know we will get along. Also just not having enough money or being on a budget Is not the same thing as not being generous. If a guy Is upfront with me and tells me he is low on funds and can't buy my food that doesn't mean I wouldn't date. I apparently a guy who can stick to a budget over someone who takes me out and puts it on a credit card.

I was once in a relationship with a guy who I would consider financially abusive. He would buy me things I didn't ask for, insist on paying for my groceries when I was grocery shopping, and when I wanted to do something that costed money he would flip out and say we couldn't do it because his credit card was maxed out because of me? I told him I would pay for my groceries or whatever activity I wanted to do and he would get mad saying he HAD to pay for it and because he didn't have the money we couldn't go or I couldn't get groceries. He would also insist I give him a certain amount out of all my checks for him to save for me. We didn't live together and he didn't have access to any of my accounts.

This is the reason that now that I'm married. I insist on everything being in my name. I pay all of the bills and all of our shared expenses could be covered by 1 person if it were necessary. I never don't want to be caught in a situation where I am financially relying on someone else. I don't want my husband to either. If anything ever were to happen we would both be able to walk away with our separate accounts and income.
