Too bad false rape accusations are not illegal as such and men are not recognized in any way as the victims of false rape accusations.

Instead of asking her to be charged (if she's even alive still), how about pushing for a law that says ALL people involved in a sexual crime (rape, sex assault etc) have to remain anonymous by law until the trial has ended. Any media org, individual etc that publishes details would be held in contempt of court and punished. This would go some way towards men not being "lynched" by the media and being ruined before being proven innocent.

I've read different accounts of what Emmett Till actually did; some say that he only cat-called that woman while others say that he went a little further than that. In no case does that excuse his murder, but I've leaned toward the mere catcall. Assuming that's all that happened, it would make the murder all the more egregious & heinous.

From a legal perspective (because statutes and case laws are often complicated), CAN she be charged with murder? I'm not suggesting that she should or shouldn't be, but rather whether there's an actual legal avenue for that.

I believe she should have been punished, but I’ve never supported laws that charge people with something they didn’t do directly. Even if she provided material support and encouraged them, that’s still not actually murder.

I read about this case and it was just heartbreaking. I agree that she should be charged with murder because that's exactly what happened. I saw the funeral pictures and what they did to that poor boy was just... I have no words.
