All except legal fees, she can get help for. Especially with kids involved.

For legal fees, a judge can make you pay for both lawyers partially or entirely.

It does feel like shit when you pay your lawyer (an incompetent) and her lawyer also acting against you.

If feels like everyone is in to fuck you harder than life ... Awful feeling

A lot of women squirrel away money for the day, having checked out of the marriage a long while back but planning the exit, after all “her money is hers and his money is family money”. Either that or they plead poverty and cry to the judge to make her poor husband pay her legal fees then her lawyer proceeds to string things out in order to maximise their pay.

I had to pay my ex's attorney, and she got to use them to fuck me over, and steal my children from me. I've fucking had it with this retarded "system" we have. "Justice" is about as real as my ass that smells rosy, like lilacs. All these "judges" and attorneys can go walk off a tall cliff, or take cyanide. I don't give a shit which one it is.

Not a man or in any relationship (honestly, I've seen enough horror stories), but I can tell you right now:

A lot of these leeches get it from the man they married. I know this personally, because my digusting cunt of a mother uses my dad as her whipping boy.

HE does the hard job, working in a factory, often putting in long, long days, bringing home the bread.

This stupid bitch wouldn't know a real job if it smacked her in the face. She isn't a SAHM, but she works one of the cushiest jobs you can get and hasn't got a fucking clue how the real world works when it comes to jobs.

She has no idea how lucky she is that she has a man with no backbone to parasite off of. So she mooches off his hard work and gets money, controls all the finances and uses HIS benefits, particuarly the legal benefit he gets.

Can't say this is always how it happens, but I know from personal experience, it absolutely can happen like this.

(She threatened divorce a couple times, but it never happened yet.)

All these answers are correct but there’s also the dirty shark lawyer as well… They’ll typically emotionally manipulate the ex wives into fighting stupid stuff while working out an “agreement” with them under the guise that you’ll pay for it all or she get high support or alimony.. Meanwhile they’ll make her keep credit cards on file Jack her credit up and coerce her into dirty tactics which drag the case out but pad their pockets.. Once this happens they typically drain whatever portion of money she’s supposed to get leaving her credit jacked and her having to file for bankruptcy…. Provided she works.. If you have a housewife my condolences lmao

There are so many variables, some dont, and rely on the fact that you will have to pay.

Some have rich parents, sugerdaddies, (multiple) simps cashing in for them. Your old “joint bank account” you name it..

Edit; oh yeah, and “daddy government” will pay for them somehow when there are kids involved i guess. “I dOnT nEeD nO mAN!”

Married people have joint finances, so either party can use funds to pay for lawyers and attorneys. It burns up savings but I think that may be part of the point.

Funds are spent up so neither party has them. I don’t think it’s an ethical thing to do, but I think many people end up burning through all savings.

My STBXW and I split our savings, which she used to fund her legal fees until she went broke. She then spent what she had in her personal IRA (paying all the taxes and penalties for early withdrawal). After that, her lawyer opened up a tab knowing she still had a fair sum coming from the home sale.

It reminds me of the joke: How do divorce lawyers know when it's time to settle? When the money runs out.

Most of the time, the money to pay for the divorce fees gets paid at the end of a divorce.

The husband gets forced to pay a certain amount of the lawyers fees, and the rest gets paid by her, out of her settlement.

If it's a big case, and this is horrible, the judge can issue an order, requiring the STBXH to "Pay $10,000 to the STBXW's lawyer to replenish the retainer." But the judge doesn't care that the STBXH doesn't have $10,000. The judge just wants it paid. Then there's "contempt of court" hearings on why the STBXH hasn't paid. It goes around and around.

The lawyers will get the STBXW all riled up to "fight the good fight!" and "no matter the cost in legal fees, you deserve every penny!" And then since the STBXH is paying the bills, she doesn't really care.
