I don't even know how to do cleaning properly, I can have a light clean in my room but not the bathroom or windows, there are special techniques involved from what I saw and I always dirty the glass more than it was before xD
Idk how to cook maybe I'll learn that in future but I dont know how to turn on the oven in cases the electricity goes off and you need to reignite it, there are some pumps and levers and its more complicated but my mom never taught me such things and I feel a vibe similar to "She's not interested in the real world, why would I show her anything", "Today, it's better to know how to clean your desktop files haha".. when I had my small garden and raising plants in pots, I had to look online for tips how to even start it despite my mom having a lot of plants in pots everywhere.
Ofc she never said such a thing but I feel like her behaviour is like that and propably also: She's so isolated, I don't see her finding a husband at all xD
Or: If she doesn't know how to cook and clean, she might not be confident enough to marry someone and become a regular housewife to cook and clean sitting in house and have kids early like my mother herself did... and will focus on the education instead etc..
I feel like it's the "bad end" for many parents when their daughters do that and decide to find a husband early in her life, it's their emotional down XD
It seems their goal is to hear stories about her career in some kind of big corporation, its like the ultimate goal of boomer parents - their kid becoming a corpo-chaser and living in a big city lol. Having their kids hold some kind of an important position in a big company is some kind of an ultimate dream for them xD
I generally think boomers often screw up with the parentage. Like - there are skills passed down generation after generation and their parents actually cared to pass them their knowledge... then the new age of technology comes and kids tend to sit on the PC too much instead of spending time and observing their parents doing things... so instead of bringing them back to the world and actually trying harder to face new challenges of technology and doubling their effort to educate them about the incoming real life, their reaction is like - meh, she/he is not interested, whatever, school will teach her everything, she won't know how to live there so she'll want to leave this house for a ohh, super BIG CITY instead of living in this village-hole xd
And everything western is super cool for them, like Pepsi - oh in the times of communism, things like Pepsi and sweets were extra cool because it was from America and they often make their kids have a bad diet
