I have said it before and I'll say it here again.

To a radical feminist being a man IS the crime. You carry the sins of your fore-fathers and every wrong doing of patriarchy. It is like the thought process of a super racist person. To a racist, the problem is not crime stats, laziness, drugs, handouts or any other perceived concrete problem. It is the race that is the issue but since it is usually frowned upon they blame by proxy.

You can be the nicest person ever, spend ur whole life avoiding trouble, doing good, be "one of the good ones" still it will take them one slip-up to go "We knew it all along, you people just can't help it! It's in your blood". You just have to replace blood with gender.

For many, the experience of being a man, is to be born guilty. It is to be avoided and feared, glared upon and whispered about.

It is to have others cross the road when they see you, to have handbags clutched, or be hurried past at the park.

It doesn’t matter who you are on the inside. For many, a father quietly watching his children is seen as a paedophile, a man walking home from work at night, a predator.

If #justiceforjohnny has taught us anything, it’s that no matter the proof or testimony, no matter the verdict or sentence, even the most powerful men in the world cannot escape the accusatory finger of the media or general public.But what about those in prison?

Might our warped perspectives of innate male guilt, have found their way into the very heart of the judicial system?

Do men and women really get a fair trial, or pay the same price for their crimes?

"Why we should close women's prisons and treat their crimes more fairly"

There's a certain amount of cognitive dissonance in that Guardian title.
Of course the plan should be to even things up, either sentence women more harshly, or sentence men less harshly.
Ideally we should be reducing prison sentencing to only those we need to keep out of society for a time, violent offenders no matter if they are male or female. Once that's achieved there's no need to be concerned if it's a man or woman being sentenced, we know they are there for everyone's protection.

I am constantly sick of my gender being weaponized against me..Now to be clear, there ARE men out there who are horrible / have done horrible things there is no denying that.

However, if a man in America rapes a women that doesn't make me, a man from New Zealand equally complicit in it.But that's how it feels in today's climate and it's literally the subtle message feminism is spreading..

For a recent example of this exact "Original Sin' thing happening just look at how in Australia a year ago Schoolboys were made to apologize for the behaviors of their gender This is LITERALLY the concept of this piece conceptualized.. and yes, the school DID face backlash but when called out the school simply gave this as their response:

"In retrospect, while well-intended, we recognise that this part of the assembly was inappropriate"

But they didn't exactly apologize to the boys for making them feel like fucking criminals in front of the whole school or give any sort of balance by saying "Women can be nasty too" or "Everyone deserves respect"
Nope they gave their half arsed response and tried to sweep it under the rug.

Another example related above is the push of "Teach boys not to rape!"
Which sends the same message "Boys are ALL potential predators"

Or the failed Gillette PR debacle "Boys will be Boys" Ad which is particularly egregious because of how they hijacked the phrase "Boys will be Boys" and twisted it forever to be an excuse to ignore sexual harassment or rape of girls / women. (This isn't the first time Feminism has hijacked a word either) The ACTUAL intention of the phrase was used to express shock, awe or amazement at the things boys do.

Example, A group of boys heads down to the park in clean clothes, play some football and come back covered head to toe in mud "Boys will be Boys"
Or boys are playing in the backyard and end up climbing a tree and one of them falls out of it and injures themselves because he had to go that little bit higher than everyone else.. "Boys will be boys" But Feminism can't let us have anything it seems.

I truly worry for the future generations of boys growing up in a society that is teaching them to hate themselves for no other reason than they were born the 'wrong' gender and their gender is responsible for all the woes of the world and no matter how 'good' you are you can not escape the Original Sin of being born male.

Seems to me that the idea that men have "original sin" is just another way of saying that men are morally inferior to women in some inherent way that results from their birth gender and that cannot be attributed to environmental influences. This belief underlies all the justification of discrimination against men and boys as well as the complacency about it -- at bottom, people can see that it's happening, but they believe we deserve it. And it's not only feminists who believe that women are morally superior to men, but the vast majority of women in general, and even most men, believe this as well. It is apt to refer to this as a belief in "original sin" because the belief that any person can be inherently good or bad is fundamentally a religious belief that cannot be supported by any argument based on science or reason. But when the belief in inherent moral inferiority is applied to a group or class or category of people, it is especially pernicious. It is the essential belief that underlies justifications of oppression of the group deemed inferior, for it transforms oppressive, inhumane behavior into putatively righteous, "progressive" behavior. By diminishing the humanity of the group deemed inferior, it invites inhumane treatment. We see the belief in group guilt and group moral inferiority everywhere that we find human rights violations perpetrated by one group against another. And the deep belief of many members of an oppressed group in their own group moral inferiority is the hallmark of internalized oppression. The belief that men are morally inferior to women must be surfaced, challenged and repudiated if we are ever to have gender equality.

TLDR: We’re living inside the self-loathing mind of a “person” who has started to contemplate how terrible they’ve been and is acting out as they come to terms with it.

So I want to first make it clear that I am not defending the current paradigm of cursing men and boys with some twisted societal “original sin”. I abjectly despise anyone who does it, whether they are an individual or an institution and believe that they deserve the very worst life had to offer.

What I am doing is trying to give my thoughts on the mechanics and reasoning behind it (at least part of the mechanics and reasoning). I believe that in order to defeat evil, one has to take it apart and comprehend its workings and moving parts. Simple condemnation won’t work, you have to know it in order to dismantle it.

Western society seems to be undergoing a period of intense self-reflection and guilt as it contemplates all the figurative and literal skulls it crushed and stepped over to reach the heights of prosperity and power it enjoys now (even if there are major signs that prosperity is waning, but that’s a whole other tangent).

On a micro scale, think of a single rich person who has made it big, and now that the dust has settled and they’re not so young as they used to be, they start to realize just how unfair, shady and even murderous they were in their prime. It’s a typical character archetype of the aging tycoon/badass/gunslinger/antihero.

We are living within a society that has reached that point in its development and it has had a myriad of effects, both good and bad.

The good effects have been increased sensitivity towards people who have been genuinely downtrodden. More contemplation about what things hurt these people and how we can alleviate the unfair burdens placed on them, and how we as a society have done them wrong, sometimes without even thinking of it. Likewise, injustices that were just considered as unavoidable as natural disasters are being targeted and pulled apart in hopes of making them an ugly thing of the past.

But...at the risk of being incredibly cringe, I’m going to quote an old video game: ”The closer you get to the light, the longer/darker your shadow becomes”

Each of these good things gives birth to a problem as people abuse and/or distort the good intentions of the original goals. For example, the simple idea of being sensitive to people’s backgrounds and not being unthinkingly insulting grows until it is a nitpicking hunt for increasingly tiny micro aggressions.

On the subject of this post, the idea that men and boys have oppressed women for all time and need to be “punished” for it has steadily merged itself into the public consciousness, even if most people you confronted about it would deny it.

Feminism is the originator if this idea and way of thinking but it only was able to take root in fertile soil because of the changing cultural landscape where “pushing back against oppressors” is the zeitgeist now.

So I have mixed feelings since I definitely benefit from some of these changes while I also have been negatively impacted at the same time.
