She lied. She exaggerated every event. She presented heavily edited evidence to support her claims. An every time the unedited version was shown...it made her look like the abuser, not the victim.

Is it not the height of misogyny to equate someone as obviously disturbed as Heard with women in general? How else could you interpret people siding with Depp as misogyny, or hatred of an entire gender and hence driven by gender, rather than her actions? It is hard to imagine even the most extreme MRA seeing this as misandry if the genders were reversed - and that includes people so radical that even I, as a fellow MRA, cringe in instinctive opposition.

Having said that, theyre both pretty crazy. And even crazier is the simple fact that one civil case seems to have the world captivated. It crops up in my youtube list more often than the war in Ukraine, and I am working with that part of the world.

Honestly these people lie when they claim they don’t really mean “believe ALL women”. The logic of the “chilling effect” is that you must treat all claims by women as true, no matter what the evidence to the contrary is. Which means you MUST condemn obviously innocent people least this may “discourage” some legitimate victim to come forward. And ignore the fact that this weaponises the liars and the malicious.

What I NEVER hear from these people is that each case should be judged on its merits. Taking someone as a victim of DV solely on their word is the right way to run a shelter/refuge. It is not the right way to run the criminal justice system.

I do think it’s a bit odd that the jury found Depp’s lawyer liable for deformation when all he said was that Heard’s claim was a ‘hoax’.

If Amber was deforming (I don’t know if that’s the correct word) Johnny by saying that she was abused, why did the Jury also decide that Johnny was deforming Amber by saying that she wasn’t abused?
