My wife has strongly implied, without direct words, that she will punish me in a divorce. Abuse allegations (false) and such. I’ve consulted a lawyer and he suggested I file and possibly put a TRO against her. Not sure how that can work because I haven’t been the most diligent and recorded things. I have some items but apart from her treating me like dog shit with her words and mentally tearing me to shreds I don’t have an actual abuse to report on her. I’m pretty fearful about filing because she is the kind of person who will want to make me suffer until I die no matter the cost. Once allegations are tossed out there then things become fairly permanent even when disproven. There’s always doubt. But at the same time I can’t continue to live with her. Not sure what my next step should be and was hoping for advice.
