Currently, here in Romania (an east european country) men are seen as good people. It's crazy to believe but here men don't rape, all women respect men and vice versa, approaching a girl is totally fine since almost all of them are traditional and love being approached and are far more mature than american women, no sexual harrasments at work, and the best of all: if a woman somehow makes you feel uncomfortable or abuses you, you are protected by the law, you can easily win an argument and escape safely. To us and to the goverment, men and women are equal and have equal rights. Men get married in their early 20s and divorce rates are very low. They respect each other. I can't remember how many times a girl or a woman showed me respect and she actually liked my presence. Women want a man and they really do and would do anything to get one and don't say that they are independent, they know they rely on men. Women here are not lazy and work themselves to the bone to raise their entire family. I am afraid that western culture might destroy our lives here too. It's good the way it is and I don't want this to change. Maybe I exaggerated a bit but hey, the situation here is far better that what americans have in the US.
