I'm relatively young but with quite a bit of academic/intellectual/professional achievements. Basically, you know, the successful social sciences nerd, with a few prestigious diplomas, financial prospects, etc. Additionally, I am quite athletic, a foreigner, and overall a bit unusual, so I get a lot of interest from young women.

But they're unbearable. Stupid, shallow, inexperienced, playing games, with little interesting things to say, both attracted to the differences between us and trying to play them down. Especially here, in the US, under the age of say 23, they lack a basic measure of civility as well. Add to it groupthink, various kinds of cliche signalling, awful general knowledge, and it's a nightmare.

While I can get along by being playful, flirty, and fake – it tires me out. Once or twice it's fine, but not for a relationship with a any meaningful partnership involved. It also feels transactional and emotionally draining. And I already work like crazy to be successful. I'm not looking for that in personal life, too.

So – I can't imagine that at 30, 35, I'll marry a 20 year old. The difference in experiences, interests, but even basic cultural references, makes this very very unappealing.
