Women don't have the muscles to pour boiling water, or petrol over a guy? Or cut his dick off? Or emotionally abuse him? Please.

I really hope this is fake but it probably isn't.

[–]TheRealBallchynz45 points 7 years ago [recovered] (11 children) | Copy Link

I'm hoping they are trolling, but it certainly doesn't appear that way.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 20 points21 points22 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope. It looks dead serious.

[–]Lethn 13 points14 points15 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately there really are people who believe this about biology, they'll claim as well they don't understand how a man can get raped by a woman or if you point out other ways they can be overpowered they'll claim men can't get erections unless they want sex.

My favourite weapon of choice when talking to somebody like this is talking about terminal erections, shuts them up really quickly. Thanks to these rape deniers I've actually become pretty well versed in various aspects of dick biology lol.

[–]Darthwilhelm 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Could you give me the TLDR about terminal erections?

[–]Lethn 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dead people can get erections, therefore the whole claim that men can get erections only when they want sex is completely false. Apparently an erection can also happen during a spinal cord injury and it's one of the first things doctors look for so they can know whether or not it's okay to move them etc. if I remember correctly.

[–]pobretano 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Dickology! Hahahah!

The most I use about that is there are cases women can become excited and wet while being raped.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well this is what's fascinating, for women who don't understand why MRAs get pissed off about this so much and I can understand if it's their first time encountering this. If you take the most batshit, traditionalist, bible bashing Christian and what they say then reverse the language to be about men then you'll understand how men are angry about this.

I'm reminded of a Republican once who claimed that women can shut down 'rape sperm' ( Not making that up ) this is the kind of attitude that men are facing from feminists, women and traditionalists alike who are male rape deniers and I think it's right to brand them as such because they really are denying reality with regards to this subject.

[–]ckiemnstr345 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A lot of feminists still put stock into the Duluth Model. It states that any violence or manipulation that a woman commits while in a heterosexual relationship is in defense of herself against the Patriarchy. This includes the maiming and killing of her male partner.

[–]BoringGenericUser 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This includes the maiming and killing of her male partner.

That is just pure insanity.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Little point in replying to those people maybe just send them one message: r/cringeanarchy

[–]Otter_Actual 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this is the new youth, raised by lying feminists and brainwashed like a religion

[–]pobretano 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are seriuosly trolling.

They don't believe in domestic violence against men. The main justification is Duluth-esque: "men abuse power, women don't have power to be abusive at all".

In that sense, the "you have a fragile body" is just a childish mocking.

[–]CanadianFemale 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

She sounds pretty serious. I doubt she's given it any thought whatsoever. If she took a moment to think about it, rather than posting attacks, maybe she's realize how ridiculous she sounds.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

That's half our problem generally, I think. Zero thought from opponents who shut us down.

[–]BoringGenericUser 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that's our problem quite a lot of the time.

[–]CanadianFemale 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Sadly, there’s a lot of programming and rewards for attacking men these days. And if you look for reasons to hate and blame any group or population, you’ll find some. It’s all very sad and frustrating.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, people like doing it. Even on here we have been known to indulge in that kind of 'it's more important to beat the feminists over the head than actually make changes'.

[–]CanadianFemale 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes, I’ve noticed that here and it’s disconcerting. Especially because I want to support men’s rights, yet sometimes see things that make me feel unsafe as a woman. I suppose it’s part of human nature. I wish we could get back to the business of working together and respecting and valuing our differences. The world could be such a better place! 😊

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, naming no names, some MRAs can be assholes and they worry me too. Luckily, I think that mens' overall relationship with the female side of the movement is a whole lot stronger than the reverse is in feminism. I mean, the honey badgers. XD I think they'd have something to say if the MRA went full 'all women are evil' on us, and it wouldn't be at all polite. By the way, if you are interested, I'm hoping to add a new site soon that might act as a balancer and way to call out the toxic parts of the movement, if we can get it popular enough. Everyone is invited to help out and long as they are semi-sensible. :)

Thank you for supporting us, by the way! :)

[–]CanadianFemale 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

that sounds awesome. Please feel free to PM me or hopefully I'll see your post about the new site.

And I agree, I think more men are on the side of women than there are women on the side of men.

Have you read or listened to any of Alison Armstrong's stuff? She explains the reasons why really well in Understanding Women and The Amazing Development of Men.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sure I'll send you a PM!

I haven't listened to Alison, but she sounds interesting. I might look up some of her stuff. Have you read that recent post on here with citations showing men do care about women more than themselves? I haven't had time to go through them yet, but I will when we write the page criticizing Patriarchy Theory.

[–]CanadianFemale 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I haven't seen the post, but from what I've learned from Alison, and from my own experience post-Alison, I'd say it's true, on average. I think there are some woman-haters in this group, and there are some very scary people in the Incel community. But I do believe that the average man is biologically and socially wired to sacrifice for the women and children in their lives. I wish more women understood that, could notice how frequently it happens, and really appreciate it. If they did, they'd also probably be a lot happier. Everyone would. :)

Edit: Alison Armstrong also does a lot of work around appreciation and how men play for points (including appreciation points). My relationships with men have completely transformed since learning from her. She asks her students to "lay down their swords" and give up their socially-validated right to emasculate men.

I think Alison's stuff is cheaper on iTunes than on her website (or it was at one time). Alison A. Armstrong.

not only that, but there are women who can do damage with strikes, like.. they can sucker punch you too, or kick you in the balls, or give you a liver attack for surprise, idk.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And you can't really fight back.

[–]a-man-from-earth 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you do, you'll be the bad guy. And guess who is going to spend a night in jail?

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or a few years.

[–]SennakuTheWolf 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are situation when you really can't fight back buddy. If someone hits you in a soft spot of your head and you enter in a state of confusion and dizziness you can't really fight back.

And if you can fight, you are the bad guy. It's a loss-loss.

[–]Burntskullcandy 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I've read a report before that well women kill their partners less, the physical damage is similar as they use weapons more often.

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

According to 'When She Was Bad', it may just be that they get away with it more. I'd like to see that report though, if you have it.

[–]Burntskullcandy 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't have it off hand but I'll look I believe it was on the CDC something in this mess.https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/index.html

[–]Hadashi_blacksky 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

508 pages... Ho boy.

[–]Burntskullcandy 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ya that's why I'm going to go through it when I have a few hours.

[–]Hirudin 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women also have a wide array of perfectly legal ways to ruin their partner's life. I think that's the main reason for the discrepancy.

[–]superzepto 41 points42 points43 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not often I say this, but what a fucking cunt

[–]a-man-from-earth 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's an offense to cunts!

[–]MRA-automatron-2kb 19 points20 points21 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've heard women say that if a man is abused it's his fault for not being able to stand up to his wife or girlfriend.

Of course we all know that if a man stands up to his female abuser, she will call the police on him.

No one tells a woman that it's the woman's fault for not standing up to her boyfriend or husband.

[–]mwobuddy 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've heard women say that if a man is abused it's his fault for not being able to stand up to his wife or girlfriend.

Joe Rogan says men cant really be raped by women, they have to allow it to happen.

[–]PanderjitSingh_k 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. While I could have physically bested my abusive female partner, despite her being a six foot Amazon with a violent temper, doing so would have put me in prison and ruined my life.

[–]BlueOrange22 34 points35 points36 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Of course a man would write that."

This is a psychological tactic to dismiss and delegitimize the speaker- it's compounded by how a man will be dehumanized to the audience an SJW feminism would be addressing.

"Laws against mansplaining."

The irony of accusing a man of mansplaining just for saying male victims of domestic violence exist...I can't fathom having such little self awareness.

It would be easy to think that this was just a troll if it didn't so accurate reflect that words and actions of feminist speakers and organizations.

[–]JohnjSmithsJnr 12 points13 points14 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Ever notice how all feminists apparently "know" people who have been "raped"? I mean I know plenty of people but afaik none of them have been raped, it's not exactly something that comes up in casual conversation either

[–]L3tum 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Whenever someone talks like that I point it out. I have multiple friends and none of them have ever been raped. I also couldn't imagine that a single person is the best friend of multiple people and every one of them would come to them if they'd been raped. I doubt it's a great conversation starter when you meet up.

The collective response I'll always get is "How can you be sure?".

I always want to reply that, as with most stuff in life, you can never be sure, but if my best friends never told me about being raped, and never came to me about someone having been raped, and if I ask them if they know someone and they don't, then I am pretty damn sure that I don't know anyone.

I did this reply once and then got "But between women you'll talk about it, not with men ew". Well, I'm pretty damn sure that we don't have gender segregation yet, so having a man as a best friend is still a possibility!

But I usually stop after the first comment because I remembered that I have a life and don't want to argue with stupid people.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But I usually stop after the first comment because I remembered that I have a life and don't want to argue with stupid people.

Basically summarises reddit. You start something, and you know the person on the other end will be so obsessive about it that they will never admit you're right, they will reply literally for years if they need to. That's why I usually give up after their replies reach a certain threshold of stupidity in their attempts to keep the argument going.

[–]yvaN_ehT_nioJ 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just shitpost because, really, why bother? No one's going to have their minds changed, they'll be obsessive because they have a.) mental illness, b.) an easy/lack of job, c.) nothing better to do and they'll show utter lack of reading comprehension, courtesy, and other junk like that.

"But you may change the minds of other people who see your posts."

True, but all the above really makes it not worth the bother for me. I got too much junk to do to spend hours finding research just to prove a point.

[–]CanadianFemale 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it comes up in conversation between women relatively frequently. But this woman is being awful and clearly hasn't a clue.

[–]curlyconscience 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not casual conversation but those wine driven dark moments when you're laying all the laundry out amongst other women. We throw some of our darkest secrets out there as a measure of how well another woman will be there for us. You'd be surprised how many women play been there done that in casual conversation among other women. I once went out on a mom escape date with a woman I was getting to know. In mentioning my envy of her husbands willingness to help cook and be a host she regaled me all the details of his infidelity and how his love for parties gives him opportunities to flirt. Same thing happened to me in a different setting. We bonded and got close. Women form connections through mutual tragedy. Your point is still valid however. Just thought I would explain the casual conversation part.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yet again I find myself compelled to point out that domestic violence is not a boxing match where the strongest person wins. It's almost universally one person who uses violence against another who does not.

Her idea that a woman doesn't have the upper body strength to hurt a man implies that she thinks domestic violence is perfectly ok, so long as you don't hit very hard. That's literally what she's saying.

[–]theboxman154 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I always think about little league soccer. A kid can litteraly run into another kid that isn't even moving (let's say the kid standing there is larger to make the point even more clear). The smaller kid will fall over. Most times whoever is still standing gets fouled regardless of what actually happened.

[–]ChirpingBirb 15 points16 points17 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a piece of shit.

[–]FlatTire2005 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m surprised no one told him to quit beating his “best girlfriend”.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've seen plenty of men with cuts and bruises from being attacked by wives/GF with weapons.

[–]BigAl265 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My buddies crazy fuck ex-wife threw bleach in his eyes when he showed up to pick up his daughters, then called the police and said he was beating her. He literally did not exchange a word or blow with her, just showed up on his day to get his girls, rang the bell, and the crazy bitch opens the door and throws a cup of bleach in his eyes. Guess who got arrested...

[–]Darthwilhelm 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is he alright?

[–]BoringGenericUser 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I want to say it was the ex-wife, but knowing the way the world is right now, it was him. Am I right or am I right?

[–]Philip8000 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are the abusers, women are the victims. Women are only violent out of self-defense and if it isn't... well, her boyfriend/husband probably did something to deserve it. I've seen this said over and over again.

I may post here, but I read things from r/feminism as well. There are some exceptions, but that certainly seems to be the general sentiment. Or that men make up only a tiny portion of victims.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I stopped at we need laws against mansplaining

[–]eat_my_rubber 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, BRÅ, has a report on domestic violence and abuse.

I'll paste a (via Google Translate) translated citation from a report in Swedish.

Statistics shows the fact that men are abused as much as often by their partner as women.

Total reported 6,8 percent of the population that they were subjected to crimes in close relation in 2012. The proportion of women exposed to crimes in close relationship in 2012 was in principle equal to the number of abused men (7.0 percent of women and 6,7 percent of the men). Even when one studies psychological violence and physical violence separately, the vulnerability is evenly distributed among the sexes; 6.8 percent of women and 6.2 percent of men are exposed to mental violence, while 2,2 percent of the women and 2,0 percent of the men are subject to physical violence.

[–]p3ngwin 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

women can't bruise a man ?

Ah, i see the feminists are learning from the school of Islam about how to beat your spouse without leaving marks !

[–]charlesmseed 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

does she not know that men can abuse other men

[–]Akesgeroth 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

we need laws against mansplaining

[–]chambertlo 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men more than likely suffer from domestic violence a lot more than women do. The difference is, society tells us to suck it up and be a man about it.

[–]CreeperCooper 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't like saying this either, but really..

Fuck her.

I guess I have to thank her though. That traumatic shit I went through didn't actually happen! Gee! What a relief! It was all in my head after all..

[–]flinty_1979 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a fucktard!

Obviously just a brainwashed buffoon who has no idea about the real world.

Some of my feelings on this are obviously that there will almost deffo be more men being abused emotionally than physically, nobody really mentions that.

Females favour emotional abuse opposed to physical, but I know women who cannot control themselves when they lose their temper.

If they only knew how much self control it takes to override the fight response when you are being attacked by a female / anyone for that matter.

I hate to say this but, it makes me feel the same as when I'd had to face bullies in my younger years, you have to stand up to them.

You want equality....lay hands on me, let's see what happens. I'm not going to touch you first, but I will retaliate.

You won't do it again, don't care if I'm arrested, by that point the relationship is over, I'm gone.

Women have no respect for men anymore, and I hate to say it, maybe if we all made it very clear and followed through on the above, in that we will not accept abuse....hit me and I'll hit you back.

If you are a woman and you choose to hit a man, you accept the responsibility that comes with it. In that you could very well get a response you don't like. Don't want that? Then don't hit a man.

Ideally nobody should be assaulting anybody, but we don't live in that world.

I really want idiots like this to be re-eduacted, and men to stand up for themselves.

[–]TheNextMilo 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol TIL you need upper body strength to abuse someone.

Wait so if a guy becomes marathon runner thin and rapes his partner he’s good?

[–]Ragnrok 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I'm calling troll.

[–]JaxJags904 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah women can’t hurt men, I’ve only been bitten to the point of bleeding before.

[–]JaxJags904 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ve been waiting for the case of a monster female, think WNBA player or softball player or something, ends up fighting a dude that’s like 5’6, 120. What’s the rule then? Men still too strong? Or is she considered the “man” now?

[–]littlefilms 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hate to have a them vs us mentality, but this type of person probably hates the stereotypical representation of women being weak and vulnerable, wanting to see men and women as pure equals, but has no problem seeing women like that when it suits her, like in this situation.
