Ended a 10 year friendship because of this. She would publicly announce how bad I was down (I didn’t have a job or a phone) in front of men. It was weird and desperate. It’s like they put you in a competition you did not ask to be in. Plus, all the men these types of women attract are LV and who wants that?

I miss having a group of female friends. I loved getting ready together and all the talking and how much we would laugh. But after college all of my friends seem to have disappeared despite my best efforts to stay in touch. I don't know how to find women to be friends with anymore because so many are covert pickmes or something along those lines.

I have a lot of sympathy for pickmes, because a lot of them were horribly abused and raised in toxic misogynistic environments, but the extreme ones are simply dangerous AF. And she’s right- you simply cannot be friends with them unless they aren’t too far gone, and most of them are too far gone and NEED a “come to FDS/feminism moment.”

Not only do they mercilessly bully and drag down other women, but they are complicit in male violence against women and children, in oppression of racial and ethnic minority groups as they try to barter their support of oppressors in return for male “protection” and an easier life, in upholding misogynistic religious and social institutions for the same reasons, and in raising another generation of traumatized women and selfish, narcissistic men (of course men are to blame for all these things too, as they are the driving force and pickmes are their accomplices).

Pickmes hate themselves and it’s understandable when we consider how many of them were treated in life. But they need to heal, not demand that we all hate ourselves too, and worship LVM.

i had a friend who was like this to me around straight men AND gay men. i had a group of gay friends who were kind of a big deal in the nyc tech and media scene and this bitch threw me under the fucking BUS so hard when i invited her to hang with us. a pickme and total clout/social leech.

i blocked her because she was SO pathologically toxic and volatile she made me cry during brunch when i was about to get evicted and was having a terrible mental health crisis. they all iced me out eventually, including my best friend of ten years. they're the only friends she still has because women quite literally cannot be friends with her. it's absolutely impossible.

Years ago my hs had a new girl come in. I didn't know her or her name but I never paid attention to her. During that time in hs I was sexually active and the guy I was with told his friends then somehow she got a whiff of it. Then one day put of the blue she announced to the class about all the stuff I did with him. Nobody was paying attention to her and nobody made any comments or remarks towards me. I was hella confused as to why she would do that because she was very pregnant at the time.

I have a married friend that has many many many side men she meets online. She sneaks around while her husband is working on her days off. We used to occasionally get together for drinks when I’d get off work but only if she didn’t have any dick lined up. She always asks about men I hang out with and I told her I could care less if I have sex. Her husband is controlling and she always walks on eggshells around him because he is a sensitive baby. She needs to get rid of him and her side men and just find happiness in herself. I’ve told her this but it falls on deaf ears 🤷‍♀️ My fear is someday she will turn up missing because she travels around meeting these random men in parks and remote places to not get caught.

I felt surrounded by pick mes when I lived in a red state. One day I woke up to realize I didnt have any true girl friends because they were all obsessed with chasing boys that had no interest in relationships. Guess who they would call at 3am because Kyle got irritated with them at the bar and slapped her?? I wasted way more time on my ex pick me friends dealing with their problems than I ever wasted with a LVM.

Took me a while to realize I had a friend/enemy on my hands. She would send me pictures of my ex and his new girl and say how happy they look.

She even kept me updated on when their wedding was. When I asked her why she was doing that she said she just wanted to make sure I was really over him. Like what?!

At the extreme end of that pickmeism - this type of women are the ones "luring" innocent naive girls into their trap of that the men can "dine" on her, if you catch my drift. Too many news, and a lot more unreported. It may be extreme jealousy because the men prefer those innocent girls, or they want the pat on the back from the men. While they certainly need help, you can't be actively involved with these people because they can and will turn on you - that's what desperation do to people.

Just point them to the right direction and pray from afar. If they want to change, they will. But you better prioritize your own safety first.
