The divide, the dissonance, the duality, the dichotomy. No philosophist or psychologist ever said that this kind of behaviour leads to anything bad huh ?

How do you divide yourself so much, that it starts to become a ‘different’ version of yourself. The beginnings of a troll/creep/sex pest.

Compartmentalising leads to shame, lying, justifying ‘dirty’ things that could be borderline illegal and where does it stop? If you do that online when does it become irl? Going to become cheat, be a bigamist or lead a second life online ?

When his partner says he is being ‘distant’, which is only a matter of time (because he’ll start to think things he sees online is to be expected and hold resentment for her not wanting to do anything he sees online or he slowly becomes a porn addict) and he denies it, the first lie and the beginning of addiction and the end of a relationship.

Hope she realises this, and leaves to save heart, energy and time.

How is this useful? How is this strategic? Is it your advice OP that we all stay in relationships where we’re paranoid enough to check for secondary Instagram accounts?

Besides telling us that some guys are trashy (we know), what are some actionable measures that can be taken as a result of this post?
