Men would become more attractive because:

less of them, so more competition to find one and I imagine war makes ppl family oriented and scared of being alone so there will be a desire to mate and couple up from both sides
the nerdy lame men will finally be forced into some semblance of physical activity amongst other men and be more man-like hence more attractive to women
maybe more jobs ? War machine is good for that.

Post war mental /health issues will skyrocket but cross that bridge when we get there.

Low reproductive value men would probably be able to celebrate, as far as sex and relationships are concerned.

Many men would die, reducing competition. Fighting (winning, really) a war would also bring massive clout and would be like bringing a gun to a knife fight as far as gender debates are concerned. The question is whether average men would have the stomach to really take advantage of such a milieu - I don’t think they currently do, but a war could harden their resolve significantly.

Such a war could also serve as a massive enhancement and demonstration of behavioural/social sexual dimorphism, easing some of the physical demands (height, muscularity).

Given that most real men (on here and related subreddits) generally agree that serving for country and contributing to society are cuckoldry, a war will most likely weed out and remove more of the LVMs from the SMV/RMV, leaving the real men with even more options. Oh, and even less beta providers after the war but I'm sure that'll be addressed through greater government welfare.

In other words the harvest will be bountiful for the Jodies.

When I was at war, everything somehow made so much more sense. Relationships felt so much more meaningful Returning to the peaceful civilian world was confusing and disheartening.

No... WW3 will be like WW1 all over again. Militaries using 100y old tactics against new tech, leading to MASSIVE losses of life on both sides due to their hubris.

Robotics, AI, and mass production would mean the men or women on the field would be little more than cannon fodder to drones, bots, automated weapon systems, and other insidious forms of weaponry. Add into that mix nuclear, chemical, cyber, or biological weaponry (the last probably being the absolutely most devastating form of WMD) and conventional warfare is a figment of the past.

And unlike wars of the past, it won't be primarily men on the front lines dying in droves. Winning will require destroying a countries manufacturing and development industries, which means civilians will be target numero uno for the 1st time.

Women wouldn't take up arms they'd do the same thing they've done in every war, support by making things, providing nursing/medicine and other efforts that keep society running and soldiers cared for.

This isn't really theoretical it's observable reality in history. WWII was kind of the exception but usually conflict results in a mass return to patriarchal society, see Iran, Russia, etc

It would be great for Betas.

During the war, they are the ones that are least likely die. Sure everyone gets drafted for the war effort. But while alphas end up as soldiers taking up arms fighting it out on land, air, and sea, betas end up as engineers working on the Manhattan project or cracking the Enigma Code.

So after the war, they get to enjoy a world where half the alphas are dead and the gender ratio is skewed in favor of men. Look at former Communist countries, every other man had a harem, since half the adult male population died off.

You might see men actually act like men again, for starters.

If drafts were to happen, many women would be left at home with the kids. Things might go back to normal for a while, since people will have more important things to worry about than whatever nonsense social justice issue they want to make up today.

At the onset of WWII there was a big problem with the men having nutritional deficits and being too skinny or underweight. Men were more likely to know how to handle a rifle if they were rural and hunted or farmed. They mostly worked labor jobs. We have not have a draft since 1972 but it would be a huge problem now. Most men are fat and out of shape, they have anxiety and ADHD. They had to fool around with lowering requirements for enlistees to meet needs for Afghanistan and Iraq.

I think war and the logistics of might have greatly reduced the need for a mass draft. We would just nuke one another or use various chemical and bio devices and everybody would die. A few would survive and live in little prepper communities and women would be property again.

Women can say what they want, but the instinct will kick in, and the fact that men focus without knowing on saving them isn't efficient during the war.

It's interesting to know that during ww2, drafted husbands would aks a friend they trust to fuck their wife because they weren't expecting her to realistically go that long without sex (swingers originated from that).

The situation is different because less and less are married, but if the most fit ones are taken... Well, that'd work out in the benefit of those not being drafted. Pretty sure I'll manage to not end up in the front line, as I don't really feel like being cannon fodder (also expect most men to feel that too) and displaying intellectual skills, especially in science, help to be sorted that way.

I don't expect women either to be really trusted in high decision fields related to war, but they'll definitely be used in some way as workforce, for the reason that any country that has them sitting on their asses would loose to the one that do not.

It would give a sense of purpose to a lot of men who feel emptiness, that being said.

Not sure what would happen.

All I know is I wouldn’t get drafted. I’d be 4-F’d immediately, too much of a liability to actually participate in armed combat.

If 50% of young men died off in a war the problems would be solved.

In the past to combat the issues young men face in modern day... they literally just killed all the other young men competitors in battles war, 1 on 1 combat & they didn't have to worry about sharing the sexy women they wanted to fuck.

And so there would be a ton of females in America but not many men. And the men that are left would become very hardened, so naturally attract females cruel nature.

More likely though they a lot will get PTSD, mental health issues from the whole experience. Their friends dying, loved ones, brothers in the most gruesome ways.

There's also the possibility China wins the war and we serve under another country... then who knows what happens to the sexual market.

It's rather difficult to predict and depends a lot on its nature and who wins.

If William S. Lind's 4th generation warfare thesis is correct and insurgencies have the advantage over governments then expect a brutal reimposition of patriarchy in which women and the previously winning men are disadvantaged in comparison to those who are good at fighting (which isn't necessarily correlated with our modern conception of what makes a man attractive), as feminism relies on men working for the state to enforce its social norms. There is a possibility of variety based on the ideological inclination of the insurgents, i.e. an American right-wing insurgency would probably be less tolerant of polygamy than, say, Ramzan Kadryov's Chechya.

Those wanting to use WWII in America as an example should consider that the Great Depression may well have had more to do with 1940s and 50s social conservatism than the war itself given that relatively few Americans actually died in the war such that there wasn't the same gender imbalance as was the case in, say, Soviet Russia or postwar Germany.

With that, a war in which the state wins could well be more feminist, not less, especially in the case of democracies or in situations where women were needed in the workforce post-war.

Marginal, surviving, and not traumatized men will likely be made better off while the dead, disfigured, and traumatized will fare worse.

this idea that people are going to take up arms and fight in some sort of meaningful engagement is unlikely a global war means that there's no rules on engagement technology has shifted to the point of not needing big armies.

Infact the only reason why we build armies is to use them and engagements in which we don't wish to proceed into direct genocide.

It would be warlords raiding whatever settlements have women and food in the post-nuclear disaster. Or otherwise people attempting to rebuild society in some way, whatever way they can.
