Men don’t think deeply about relationships as women do. Because we have more to lose (pregnancy, risk of abuse etc.). Most men I know don’t have a clear opinion of what women want and why on a deep enlightened level as they haven’t given enough thoughts and informed themselves enough on the topic. Reminds me of my ex who wouldn't watch any movie the critics hadn't deemed "worthy" and only went for the academy winners. I often told him to watch the damn movie and form an opinion for himself and he would simply say he couldn't waste his precious time with bad movies...

Look, I get it, time is important but it often made me wonder if he liked the movies at all or just felt like he did because they were supposed to be "good". Just made him sound really snobbish. Meanwhile I watch all sorts of crap (a mixed bag of excellent, good, bad and terrible movies) and can say I Iove them all and why without going for the intellectual specifics 🤷‍♀️

I think a lot of red-pilled thinking that women want "Chads" who are all over 6ft and sculpted and will settle for nothing else is a projection of their own desires... they project their own superficiality and assume women think the same way. They don't value character as much beyond women being submissive so cannot imagine the weight women put on character. Whenever men accuse women of things that are obviously ridiculous and absurd, I've learnt to see it for what it is: projection.

Thank God you had this conversation! What a jackass 🙄. What I really get a kick out of with these LVM is how damn stupid they are. Like, what kind of moron spews a bunch of offensive stereotypes about women to the woman he is dating. Who is arguing back with him, clearly not having it, and clearly not pleased at what he's saying. It's like they are so used to pickmes or unhappy/emotionally compromised women who fall for the LVM tactics that when a woman who clearly isn't those things is standing right in front of him, he still uses the same tactics. Lol.

Makes me realize LVM actually aren't all that calculating - they are manipulative, yes, but if you expect it, pay attention, and aren't a pickme/desperate for a relationship, you won't fall for it. They're actually not that smart and all follow the same script. I'd exclude seriously abusive men from this, they are extremely calculating, both subconsciously and consciously. But your average LVM, actually really stupid lol.

Le sigh. I totally get your frustration. Lots of men aren’t exactly pondering their existence, let alone their philosophy and belief systems around the dance between men and women.

Wanting a man who thinks his own thoughts isn’t a huge ask. You’d think. In my experience, men who think outside the box (pun unintentional) are usually free thinkers, educated and a bit more sophisticated. You might find them at cafes or in entrepreneurial environments. They for sure aren’t huddled around an office cooler or in gamer chat rooms.

Why does he think he's so special that you would change yourself to suit his preferences? Also why would he think that you're so fragile that you can't cope with hearing his preferences? Honestly I think maybe he's just not thought about what he wanted in that much depth before. I bet he could only think of superficial things so settled for loyalty and couldn't think of anything else.
