This story is heartbreaking for two males, the boy that was raped, the rapist's husband and the female child that resulted, the last paragraph of the article is this.

“Everything was going so well. I had a secure job, a nice place, a good relationship and a beautiful daughter. All of a sudden, everything I cherished was taken away – my child, my wife, my home, my job.

“What do I have left? It’s heartbreaking.”

His life was destroyed as well, not just the life of the boy that was raped, and not just the child that was conceived by this woman's rape of a child.

And for all of the pain she caused, she got less than 3 years prison, she'll probably be out in less than two and go on with her life still claiming that she was the victim.

Just let that sink in for a moment.

[–]nbalmbot 197 points198 points199 points 5 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

I.. dont even know what to say. The fact that they dont even address her actions as rape fucking disgusts me.

[–]matrixislife 126 points127 points128 points 5 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

As a reluctant devils witness here, the papers can't call it rape. We had a petition to call this rape denied by the government, so if a paper did call it rape then they might be open to be sued. I blame the government 100% for this.

Why the hell did the husband lose his daughter and his home? He was innocent in this.

[–]psilorder 53 points54 points55 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like it's the child his wife had with the 13 year old that''s meant. She'd probably told her husband it was his child. So he went from having a child to not having a child.

For the home, it could be that now that his wife is in jail he can no longer afford the home.

Not sure why he lost his job though.

[–]matrixislife 46 points47 points48 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He'll lose his job through assosciation. You're probably right about the daughter and the home. Poor sod, he's the second victim to this woman's actions :/

The matriarchy must be dismantledd

[–]ThirdTurnip 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Because that's the law in the Europe.

https://www.hrlc.org.au/human-rights-case-summaries/2018/4/13/european-court-of-human-rights-tips-the-balance-in-favour-of-the-right-to-privacy-over-the-right-to-freedom-of-expression-on-social-media

Short version : someone has to have been convicted of a crime, eg. rape, for you to legally be able to call them a rapist.

Since UK law discriminates against men and women can only be convicted of the lesser crime of sexual assault for raping them, UK papers can't call it rape.

[–]GOLDEN-WALKER 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

That sounds like a load of shit and it seems that most justice systems are violently flawed

[–]ThirdTurnip 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

IMO the recent human rights court ruling is right and fair.

The UK's sexist definition of rape is the problem.

https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/rape-and-sexual-offences-chapter-2-sexual-offences-act-2003-principal-offences-and

Rape (section 1)

The elements of rape are:

(A) intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis;

(B) does not consent to the penetration, and

(A) does not reasonably believe that (B) consents

Penetration of the mouth is included.

Rape is still a crime of basic intent, and drunkenness is no defence.

Women can only be prosecuted for rape as an accessory, if they facilitate a man raping another women.

[–]GOLDEN-WALKER 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I guess the other crimes are tried fairly but the rape definition is definitely wack as hell

[–]iamablackbaby 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

to add onto that point the rape of men constitutes sexual assault which which has a lower maximum sentence of 10 years compared to rape with a maximum of life imprisonment, not only this but the minimum sentence for sexual assault is community service for an unspecified amount of time. from what i can gather the minimum for rape is 4 years.

sexual assault: https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/magistrates-court/item/sexual-assault/

rape:

https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/crown-court/item/rape/

[–]GOLDEN-WALKER 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That’s just bullshit, so unfair, women could diddle a fucking child and the court would send her off scot free, oh wait this court system just gives woman freedom on a silver platter

[–]iamablackbaby 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

mmmm, the commonwealth seems to have a problem with being formerly shit for both genders, and then fixing womens issues whilst ignoring the literal systemic inequality against men literally written into law. like people can argue about societal stuff as much as they want.

but male genital mutilation is still legal, commonwealth governments still reserve the right to reimpose a draft for any male resident of the commonwealth, and as we saw rape/sexual assault is just awful, girls grades are marked higher simply for being girls and that was also written into this years exam tests, 10 years ago something was leaked about pruposely giving women shorter sentences and what do we have now a 63% sentencing disparity and as for tax women pay 40% less tax in proportion to earnings, women owned businesses pay less tax, razor blades are taxed at 20% compared to tampons at 5%, last year only 0.5% of the domestic violence money was put towards men and that was all on perpetrators courses, despite evidence showing men make up at least 46% of victims and women are on average more violent than men, then there's the matter of medical research the average women costs more than the average man throughout her lifetime but the nhs funding comes mainly out of mens tax, breast cancer is contracted by 1 in 8 women and prostate cancer is contracted by 1 in 7 men they both have the same mortality rate but breast cancer gets 200 times more funding, we still support the UN who systemically starve men to death in the event of a natural disaster by only letting women claim food with no age or return limit while men are having to beg and starve to death despite the fact that the UK uses its mostly male warships to support these countries in their times of need.

started ranting but there's all the systemic inequality against men done by the commonwealth/UK government.

I wanted to go "only if I wasn't trying to corrupt everyone to hell!" but couldn't come up with a good way to say that :p

[–]laid_on_the_line 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did they change something about the article? The headline says: "Mum reveals how her friend seduced her son before raping him"

[–]ThirdTurnip 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is an Australian paper.

The prohibition against calling someone a rapist unless they've been convicted of rape is a matter of European law and doesn't automatically apply in Australia.

https://www.hrlc.org.au/human-rights-case-summaries/2018/4/13/european-court-of-human-rights-tips-the-balance-in-favour-of-the-right-to-privacy-over-the-right-to-freedom-of-expression-on-social-media

Theoretically someone in Australia could sue someone for defamation relying on that precedent, but it would need to be ruled on in an Australian court before becoming law here.

[–]Norman_T_Chadlite 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Prob get child support from both somehow.

[–]djc_tech 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ve stayed that before. In most of these cases there is a husband who has to deal with this and no one gives a shit about his feelings . He’s either labeled as an idiot who can’t satisfy his wife or he married a crazy. Imagine the therapy you have to deal with knowing your wife cheated on you with a teenager!

[–]ICollectTheDead 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Even after Cordice’s husband, Daniel Robbins, discovered what was happening and confronted the boy, the sex continued.

This makes me feel a lot less sorry for him. Not saying he hasn't had it hard or deserved it or anything like that, but he chose the wrong person to confront about this.

[–]L3tum 24 points25 points26 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Imagine a grownass man goes up to a 13 year old boy and tells him off about fucking his wife.

[–]Norman_T_Chadlite 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The kid was 18 at the time. Dude prob didn't know she was fucking a child for 5 years.

[–]jakeinator21 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't think that's accurate. The article implies that the kid was 13 years old in 2017, when the rapist first raped him, which would make him at most 17 this year. And she was sentenced back in May, so more likely he was at most 16 when the husband found out.

[–]Norman_T_Chadlite 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The article is bad. I can't really make sense of it...

she groomed and had sex with the teenage boy multiple times between 2017 and 2018.

Aged 17 at the time, she groomed the boy with free fish and chips and gave

[–]jakeinator21 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm pretty certain the rapist was the one that was aged 17 in that sentence.

[–]RavynArcadia 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And you know the rape victim will be on the hook for child support for the next 18 years. Because that makes sense.

[–]jmcsquared 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That was my first worry. The child should be taken away from, put up for adoption, and the rapist put on the sex offender list. Instead, what will likely instead happen is that she'll keep her kid and sue for child support. Which will be a grotesque injustice.

[–]ArCSelkie37 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m surprised you finished reading it, i stopped at “30 months in prison” for raping a minor.

[–]iamablackbaby 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

not even 3 years. imma need to let that sink in. not even fucking 3 years for raping a minor and then having his child. whilst pretending that the child was her husbands.

[–]RETALI4T3 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She didnt, it said “30 months in prison” which is only roughly two years and five months. Edit: number correction

[–]Cryhavok101 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

While horrific, it doesn't surprise me that this is happening in the UK... if I remember right, the UK is the country trying to get rid of prison sentences for women entirely, even for criminal felonies.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is true.

Women will only be sentenced for "severe crimes"

[–]bill_end 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Where have you heard this? We have one of the least progressive criminal justice systems in Western Europe.

I'm not surprised and don't approve , but this is still a long way off abandoning custodial sentences for women altogether.

Eh, it might have been another country. It was an article I read, like 6 months ago. My memory is probably just mixing up the location with somewhere else.

[–]bill_end -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Aye, probably. I'd like to see most prison sentences abolished. Keep them for violent offenders only, men or women, just to protect public safety. I see no benefit in locking up a fraudster or shoplifter, but I guess that's a debate for another sub.

[–]Cryhavok101 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. I despise my american justice system because it is more focused on punishing people than rehabilitating them. And there are worse things about it too, but if I get into those I'll be off on an unrelated rant.

[–]jump_rope 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I live the uk and this is news to me

[–]lajdbejdk 366 points367 points368 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

And the media assisted furthering the bs by not calling it rape from the start. Anytime a woman rapes an underage boy it’s stated as sex, but when the shoe is on the other foot it’s rape. The only true answer is any sexy with a minor is rape.

[–]Brusanan 55 points56 points57 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

The title of the article calls it rape.

[–]MrMassacre1 71 points72 points73 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This does happen with men too, but definitely not as often. Even if it may be a gendered issue to some degree, I think it goes deeper than meets the eye.

[–]Deadgravegames 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I usually see the same problem either way. It's all to keep sponsors happy.

[–]Darckshado99 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It should be, unfortunately some laws define rape as penetration, which means a male has to be the attacker, and that itself is BS and needs to be changed

[–]EdenSteden22 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

any sexy with a minor is rape.

So if a kid of any gender forces sex on an adult of any gender...

Did they rape each other?

[–]qemist80 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Accusing the victim is common in cases like this. Many women will try a false rape allegation as their get out of jail card when they're under pressure.

[–]duhhhh 33 points34 points35 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Israeli feminists were concerned if a woman raping a man was recognized by law, a man could threaten to make false accusations against the woman after the man raped her in order to keep her from reporting. Apparently false accusations are a problem for women, so they fixed this by blocking the legislation that would have made rape a gender neutral crime.

https://m.jpost.com/Israel/Womens-groups-Cancel-law-charging-women-with-rape

[–]Doc-Engineer 20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Soo... False accusations are a problem for women, but anytime false accusations against men are brought up we hear a bunch of "it comes with the territory" or "even if you didn't do it, you should just bite the bullet and go to jail for life to support women anyways!" They literally argue that false accusations are practically nonexistent, then fight against them, but only for women..

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well at least they got it right.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

According to the Dunedin study, women are more likely to assault men in a sexual manner than the other way around.

[–]lowsubmarino 35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She also accused the boy of rape to not risk jail. Thats insane. And for all she has done she gets 30 months and prolly wont have to stay locked up for the entirety if the sentence.

If a man had done what she did....10 years minimum. This is a mad world.

[–]_bored_in_life_ 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, she was a minor too. Not saying it's okay but it's not as incriminating if you consider that.

[–]asdf333aza 23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Is it just me or is seeming like women are the main ones in the news for sexually assaulting children most of the time.

[–]DanteLivra 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It's not a statistic the feminists would tell you.

80% of infanticide are caused by the mother.

Between 60%-80% of child abuse by a family member is done by a woman.

Virtually all pedophiles circles are managed or led by a woman.

If you look at child abuse by a stranger, men comes out on top, by can we really trust it as the truth since most case where a female assault a child, charges are not pressed. Instead she goes to therapy.

[–]asdf333aza 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I read men lead in is sexual abuse, but at the rates these female teachers sexually assault kids I think that needs another look.

But my readings also confirmed most cases of child abuse and infants deaths are women. Yet, courts award children to them most times.

[–]The-Gamersaurs48 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s a mad world we live in.

[–]Azad_h 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She got 30 months for raping a boy MULTIPLE times while most male rapists get like atleast 5 years for doing it once. Yeah seems fair to me

[–]LotBuilder 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

She is actually serving time... That probably wouldn’t happen in the US.

[–]ArCSelkie37 36 points37 points38 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

A small victory considering it’s 30 months for raping a child.

[–]LotBuilder 28 points29 points30 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

A man would be locked up for a decade and rightfully so. Women should get the same

[–]Rolaid-Tommassi[S] 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

And a man would be sentenced to being sodomised during his incarceration, not something female prisoners have to deal with.

[–]Breaker-of-circles 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not trying to defend her but there are quite literally lesbians in female prisons and some of them can beat my scrawny ass in a fair fight. Just saying.

[–]Rolaid-Tommassi[S] 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fair enough. Good point.

[–]DanteLivra 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Since those lesbians are probably hardcore feminists, I bet the worst she's gonna have is a tap on the back and a "good job !" For raping a 13 years old.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it is interesting cause if you go by reported rape stats you are more likely to be raped by a fellow prisoner in a womans prison then in a mens prison. I think the stat is skewed by under reporting though

[–]bill_end 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not really. I ain't saying it doesn't happen but prison rape is more of an American practice, it's pretty rare in the UK.

Probably to prevent another victim, honestly. The baby girl could be raised completely oblivious to the fact that she was the product of a disgusting crime.

[–]Glorfindel42 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These things make me despair :((( I feel so sorry for them.

[–]TQuinn963 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She’s a pedo! How does she only get 30 months? That’s disgusting!

[–]babybear68 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There appears to be a huge misconception that woman can't be predators. The misconception is then bolstered by the "Me Too" movement. All they have to do is point and say "he raped me" and if there's little to no evidence to the contrary, a life is destroyed. This is the very definition of privilege, the privilege of being a repercussion free predator. It's appalling.

[–]FlopScratch 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The government may have done its job by put her in prison but fucked its job by taking away the ability of the son to see his daughter. That's just cruel. Even though he isn't the right age to raise a child he should be able to see her. He clearly wants to. Why not?

[–]Nagi21 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Inb4 he gets to see her when the mother gets out and sues for child support.

[–]timeslidesRD 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same old story. Switch the sexes on this and its a much, much harsher sentence.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

SHE GOT ONLY 2.5 YEARS FOR RAPING A CHILD?!?

[–]SomeL0ser 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And women say they need more rights

[–]ReluctantGoalkeeper 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The child's.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a case of statutory rape unless it can be proven beyond a doubt that there was somehow a use of a violent weapon from the 13 year old boy to get her to have sex with him.

[–]Ariliescbk 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]-Pazza- 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

30 months? Everyone knows if this was a man raping a 13-year-old boy he'd be getting 15 years prison, sex offending registry and forget about ever having a normal life again.

This kind of female privilege sickens me.

[–]LegendaryEmu1 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

was sentenced to 30 months in prison in May

Its sickening that you get less than 3 years for grooming and seducing anyone who is underage, let alone having their child and then accusing them of rape.

After a DNA test, the boy was found to be the baby girl’s father and she has since been adopted.

The teen’s mum said he was “devastated” about not being able to see his daughter.

“Having my grandchild taken away, my son becoming a dad at such a young age – it’s been incredibly traumatic for us all,” she said.

I don't see how anybody can see that as fair, just boom, adopted, without his consent or anything.

Even after Cordice’s husband, Daniel Robbins, discovered what was happening and confronted the boy, the sex continued.

Seems like he confronted the wrong person.

On finding out, he told The Sun: ... All of a sudden, everything I cherished was taken away – my child, my wife, my home, my job. “What do I have left? It’s heartbreaking.”

And the blame can be squarely laid at the wife.

This is just sad If it was the other way around cnn would be all on this shit feminist would be "protesting" America would go crazy But since she's a woman apparently the kid THE 13 YEAR OLD KID raped her

[–]djc_tech -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Either that 13 year old kid is the player of the century or the woman is just a pedo....I think we know the answer to that one

Let's keep it real, NOBODY feels bad for men. You guys have literally been in the driver's seat for everything that has happened on this planet and beyond, including this sub! At this point it really feels like pandering.

You understand, women haven't EVER been oppressed like we are taught, we are all fed the feminist propaganda in schools, "Women were beat by their husbands", false, "Women didn't have the right to vote" in fact, women didn't want it, cuz they didn't want the responsibility that came with it, MEN fought for that eight for most of you.

The book that the idea of women being undermined in most societies in history, has been proven false, feminism is made up of fairytales and stories, of how they were tired of being saved, saved from nothing.

Society has taken a turn for the worse, and your a part of the problem, one side must have the other, you need a balance, men are better for heavy lifting, that just how works, women are better for childcare, that's just how it works.

While men fight for actual equality, women fight for equality of outcome. We already have equality of opportunity (in most places, college is a big pain in the back in some places), but once you reach that point you must choose your own path, your path is up to you! Not the godamn patriarchy!

My last not to feminists; You used to be something that fought for true equality, to even the scales (which weren't tipped all too much), but now, you have become a beast, a vicious one, a hypocritical one, pushing down men, simply makes you enemies with 49% the US population, 70% the US military forces, and so on.

Feminazis, don't play with fire, and expect to not get burnt.

Just a future warning ;)

[+]zomanda -7 points-6 points-5 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

"I'm not a insecure baby, but let me threaten this random woman because words hurt"

[–]Battleship1239 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You are all playing with fire, and your untrained to juggle it, it isn't a threat, it's a warning, because if you continue to do things like that, it may eventually turn into a threat.

Also, this is why you can't have a proper argument, "insecure baby" is a personal hit, I argued against your claim for almost the whole thing, later on I hit your whole group not just you, no wonder you think men don't matter, you have less then 2 braincells left, and neither is going towards how an argument works.

(ya see what I did there? I pulled a you)

[+]zomanda -6 points-5 points-4 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Thank you, my point exactly, we ARE untrained to juggle it. Because men have been in the driver's seat the entire time. I was a little concerned that my comment was above your head but you really pulled through on that one, good job!
