Wife basically shot herself on the foot. We were happily married I thought for 14 years. Two beautiful daughters 7 and 13. She knew I’m financially stable. Asked me to file for divorce 5 months ago. I tried to convince her to stay and be a family but she refused. She said that she’s signing anything and doesn’t want a dime from the divorce. I was in the middle of filling with an uncontested lawyer and she changed her mind and decided to ask for 45k and one of the cars we have. So I cashed her out and kept the house, my car, my retirements and my bank accounts. She kept the 45k casher’s check, her car and her bank account. We agreed to everything notarized and signed. The judge signed the divorce and now we each have our own copy stating that we are legally divorced. She even gave me full custody of my daughters bcs at first she was planning to leave the country and go back to her country. No alimony, child support maintenance etc. she has all the rights for visitation, calls, messenger FaceTime etc but no other rights and I have full custody. Now again she’s changed her mind and has decided to not leave the country and stay her and rent an apartment. She had decided to take care of my daughters while I’m at work which is fine bcs I don’t want to come between them even though legally I can. The judge gave her 90 days to leave my house and she’s still here and has 7 more days left. I know she’s looking at apartments. But tonight she was telling me that she might consider getting a lawyer for more money from me. We live In Missouri. One time the lawyer said asset division are final after a judge signs the dissolution. This women needs to leave me alone. I just want to know if she could do anything to come after me. All the paperwork are signed by both of us in front of à notary and signed by the judge as well. I’m I safe? She did say that she has changed her mind on the divorce meaning she wants to stay just 2 days ago but I refused bcs I’m having trust issues now. I don’t know if she’s serious anymore. 3 months ago she told me that she doesn’t want me anymore but all of a sudden when the reality kicked in now she wants me. No thx. She stressed me out and I was devastated for 5 months and now I’m okay. I’ve moved on and almost happy again but she’s starting something else that makes me to be a little concerned. I’m just updating info and new things she’s doing. She just put down a deposit on an apartment. It will be ready 6/15/23 . She’ll be paying 1000 dollars a month. She has never paid any bills in my house except for groceries and 60 percent of the cost, I’ve paid the other 40 percent plus every bill that we have including car insurance, phone bills. I haven’t had a mortgage since 2012 but I’ve always paid taxes insurance maintenance etc. but now she’s welling to pay 1000 for an apartment. It’s a lot for where we live, maybe not for certain places. I make 130k a year this is without my investments, she makes 35k and zero investments and certainly no retirement. Isn’t this the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed?
