It depends on the individual espousing the beliefs and how it would benefit them. Some RP folk just picked up this Muslim culture talking point but they don’t mention all of the nuances. Yes, polygamy is normalized (acceptable) in Muslim culture. But only 1% of Muslims are involved in the practice. So even among Muslim-majority countries, the practice is rare. Also, for those that do, they can take up to four wives but so long as the men can financially support the women. Something most men in RP desiring polygamy can’t do. Another thing is that in Muslim countries, guidance on polygamy often happened when there were widows with children who needed financial support… so polygamy was in place to help support single mothers who were widows… but red pill dudes are always saying don’t date single mothers. I mention this to highlight how they’re at odds with the actual practice and only cherry-pick the parts that allow them to use and control women but they don’t take up the responsibilities that come with it.

There is no unified redpill "philosophy." There's just a bunch of guys who want to use women as cum socks and not actually have to have human relationships. They don't care about women's emotions or wants or needs or human capabilities. They just want an attractive object that they can use and discard at will.

Of course they would support polygamy. They would support anything that benefits them.

How many muslims has he even spoken with? I know quite a few muslim couples through my job, in my neighbourhood. None of them has this type of lifestyle.

Also it's not really "polygamy" imo, but the "harem" idea of owning women. Polygamy can be consensual and sane (but as with monogamous relationships it's also complicated).

Most of the RP guys don’t support polygamy in the true sense. They want to live in a fantasy land where they’ve got multiple women who are sexually exclusive to them but they’re not sexually exclusive.

I just want to be clear that’s not how it works in Muslim culture either! Men can have 4 wives. HOWEVER! If the first wife says no, he cannot marry again. If he does it without consent from the wife she can decide to leave because she was deceived. Of course it doesn’t always work like this because of the lack of women’s rights in certain places, but that’s how it’s supposed to work.

Red Pill is really pushing this idea but with a twist. In this scenario the man doesn't officially marry the 3-4 women who he impregnates. Maybe officially through a religious ceremony but nothing recognised by the state so his wealth and assets cannot be taken by the courts or duplicitous women. This man is so wealthy he pays for everything for all the women and they adore him. The women are very willing to reciprocate and show respect by not having social media, must be of a low body count or a virgin, no single mothers and allow the man to lead all aspects of the relationship. Also this man has a insatiable sex drive so on top of these mothers he will be leaving the house for various affairs and hook ups but the mothers need not worry as those women are for "recreational use only" and he will always return back to them.

In some RP circles they even advocate a young man to have a vasectomy which he reverses the surgery on his 30s to start families.

Polygamy is about two or more meaningful and commited relationships. Red pill is the total opposite. These people won't even one...
