A lot of women's ego rests on being The Selectors. They feel more important because they can have an insane number if very mundane, very common things as dealbreakers and still date (or at least fuck) men that have none of them

This is also why women get so mad at men having any filters at all for women they're willing to date. Women don't feel as special when they're filtering men if men are also filtering women

The rest of the list is stupid superficial stuff imo. Also some of the things on her list are attractive traits (kayaking, biking, tennis, makes omelets). If a man wants to put out a similar dumb list of their red flags, go right ahead

Idc if a guy has a list this long lol some of these are wild lmao, but it's her life not mine; same with a guy that has a list like this his life not mine. If anything comes to mind about this it's just that it'll make it harder for them to find someone, but if they don't care why should I? She has a multitude of wild and strange requirements. She and I are not the same. She needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink much of this idiocy.

But no, I actually find a man with standards attractive. There is just a presence about a man who knows what he wants, who he is, and will settle for nothing less. That is not to say that his looks and personality are then ignored... because they aren't. I like a man I find handsome.

I do hear quite a few men who say that they have never received a compliment from a woman. I've always believed PEOPLE thrive when they feel good... and so, I complement people. And I watch men respond instantly. Their shoulders are thrown back, they stand up straighter, and their countenance changes. Their idea of their OWN looks, clothing, comportment changes, and elevates. They feel seen, and that important. Genuine compliments don't always mean you're being hit on.

With that said; I think a standard men SHOULD have is that his potential lady, on the first date, should be able to give him an unsolicited compliment. She should be able to tell him that he looks nice, his hair looks great, his shoes are fire, or she likes that light in his eyes when he smiles. If she can't do even that free thing... leave her where you found her. Your self-worth is just as important as hers is. A man should NEVER have to be the only one showering affection, support, and compliments in a coupledom.

Honestly? I fully support a man with this gender flipped list. Sure, some are weird (what is up with the “good at tennis for no reason”?), but others make sense

No stank breath, no natural deodorant users, no dirty fingernails, people who don’t change out their toothbrush … these all seem damn reasonable

I don't get what's up with the hate on natural deodorant. They work just as well as regular deodorant and can smell nice. People use natural deodorant b/c they don't like the idea of sticking shit loads of chemicals on their armpits that's rife in regular deodorant.

If a natural deodorant you buy doesn't work as intended, then it's the specific brand of natural deodorant that you bought that's the problem, not the category of deodorant.
