To me, having to hook up before you start dating sounds horrible and awkward and weird. A lot of people just aren't comfortable with doing something so intimate so early. Like, how are you more comfortable being naked together than going to see a film together? Isn't the point of dates to find out if you like each other through actually talking and finding things out about each other beyond your genitals, meaning you might be more comfortable showing each other said genitals? It also sounds like a lot of wasted time and emotional investment if you're meeting people and hooking up before even considering any longer term plans.

No offense but in 11 years A LOT has changed. I believe most people who aren't dating in the currently usually would have a outdated view of how things work. Mostly how social skills have been deteriorating so much in the last few years specially during COVID.

Dating doesn’t feel like a numbers game for everyone but it does for many. Some hyper sensitive people are very quick to pick up on certain signals that makes someone else seem incompatible, other have to go thru the motions to pick up on that but it’s still essentially playing the numbers or at least keeping one’s eyes open to possibilities.

No one should “date”, as in go out with someone you barely know with the expectation of having sex. That sounds horrible and awkward and weird.

To me, it sounds horrible and awkward and weird to put my genitals inside a stranger whom I’ve just met, but maybe that’s just me.

It seems like this way is going to end up with a lot of regretful sex for women when the dating part doesn’t work out, and many men do still judge women based upon their sexual reputations.

The basic rules for men in modern times

Be as attractive as possible.

Dont pay for dates, if she makes you then she sees you as a provider and you will be deadbedroomed. Pay when you are in a relationship and consistently having sex.

Have sex early, if she makes you wait for sex, she is not that attracted to you and see you as a provider and you will get deadbedroomed.

Thats pretty much it really. Most women have had sex early and without commitment so if she makes you pay for dates before having sex or she makes you wait months to have sex then she sees you as a provider.

Your job as a man is not to pay for dates or wait for sex but to become a man who do not need to pay for dates and is jumped on, on second date

I think this depends on a bunch of factors. I don't find sex as sacred as other people and have had sex with women who were basically strangers because we met and talked about it and decided we were both down and that was it. I've also done this only to find there was a connection where I didn't expect one to be and was able to turn that into good relationships. I also have had 2 relationships now with women who struggled with physical contact and so the relationship came first and that was good too but no more so than relationships that started because we were both bored and were just looking for some fun. In my experience sex and when you have it is less important than clear lines of communication and both parties being on the same page about what is happening.

Typically people who expect that either haven’t had sex in a long time or they never had it at all and wanna get it over with. The latter was me ten years ago. But I am taking your advice and not dating. Except in my case it might be more literal than what you’re implying
