It seems like a lot of people refuse to believe misandry exists, because the main people who talk about misandry are right-wing, tradcon, bigots.

And I think because male advocacy has that connotation, it’s made a lot of those on the left somewhat afraid to discuss misandry too- some may feel they have to self-censor. Maybe some feel as if by discussing misandry, they’re minimising the misogyny that women go through?

But I personally think we can address both at the same time.

It only seems to be in the last 5 years or so that there’s been a wave of societal misandry, and I just find it somewhat ironic that a lot of it comes from people who claim to be on the left. Surely discussing male issues that often get overlooked is a very progressive viewpoint?
