Actually, men should build our own resources.

However, if men do it, they are blamed for being sexists and face presecution. Creating something specifically designed to help only one gender is usually OK, when it is for women.

Another problem is money. No government or charities. Only crowdfunding from men. A lot of men would rather fund feminist organizations not masculist counterparts.

There is a saying "Those who plant trees, knowing that only others will enjoy the shade, are public benefactors" That is what men do. Often to their own detriment. Many women see this as an entitlement. Men built the UN and WHO to look after everyone. Now they only look after women and make men invisible by leaving them out of research and moving goalposts and definitions. For example the definition of male slavery has been changed to include child brides (which used to be a separate category) and combined with ignoring male slaves in research they've come to the conclusion 70% of modern slavery is female. ( it used to be 60% male) Should men build their own UN? In the UK the charity Refuge provides help for female victims of DV. Refuses to help men. It receives its funds from the government ie tax payers money. Under the law any org receiving gov funds needs to provide services to both men and women equally. But this never enforced. MP Jess Phillips dismissed this saying as men earn more money they should pay for their own support for men. Yet when they try to feminists get it shut down and then deny any involvement and blame men for not supporting other men. Government programs are almost always designed to help everyone. For example foreign aid programs to get running water to people. Feminists complain that only a small pc of money is reserved exclusively for women and insist that changes. So men need to build their own privately funded foreign aid programs. It makes you wonder about the motivations of gender critical feminists as they just don't want men using resources meant for women. But they also don't want resources spent on men that could be spent on women. If it's not women job to help men then why do they use the word "society"? Have you ever seen a men's only gym? There are almost zero safe spaces for men but it's implied that women need safe spaces from men and are allowed to essentially practice segregation.

How many times have men tried only to be protested & blocked by feminists? There's a reason why there's so few resources for us. The drama these misandrists bring with them scare off investors, donors, & sponsors. We all know it's bs, they don't care about equality, they don't care that they exist off our hard labor, they want control & will do whatever it takes to get it.

Then why do they whine for government and societal support ? Which they get disproportionately as a matter of fact. They take men's tax money and funnel it into aid for women. A study found that a woman has a negative impact on economy in her lifetime ( ie, she takes more than she puts in)

Do you mean collectively or individually? Individually this is great advice and every man should stop looking for society as a whole to help them.

If you're part of a collective group then you can have a different perspective and spread out help to men but as individual men I do believe that self empowerment is basically the only road to salvation these days.

We do build our own resources.....they just all go to women first lol I was watching a doc on the war in ukraine and they were handing out Water to civilians and it was like "women and children grab water....men, go get your own"

If women built feminism from the ground, women also not being a monolith, then so can men. We can just organise, spread awareness and have functional meet ups to discuss real men's issues. We can protest MGM, we can identify the men's issues locally to us. We can speak with activists and ask advice, we can hook up with the men's rights organisation closest to us.

I think the issue is that we keep expecting feminism (as some monolithic idea) to spearhead this for us. They can absolutely help us, show up in support, paint some banners and make noise - but they aren't men and it would be weird as hell for them to speak for our experiences. We need to do that.

When feminism started, they had to be radical to be seen. They were fighting a scarier fight in the 1800s with what gender equality was like back then. They built a culture of hating the oppressor and identifying the oppressor as men, which is prolific in the movement. Some of them won't even humour the idea that men suffer, or that the average man is not her oppressor on every level, because of the idea that a man has more rights and power than a woman. Some segments of feminism are much better at trading ideas and experiences than others, and allow male advocation there, but realistically focuses on women's rights. It having benefit men is a side effect. It having overshadowed men's issues is also a side effect. We aren't stuck in mud - its just time for us to spread awareness. Make our own spaces and online posts, make men's rights a seperate and equally legit movement. No need to fight each other and point fingers. More feminists support us than I think most guys realise.

It's an insane thing to say when they argue for the exact same thing in reverse, and if we were to say 'well just do it yourself', well that would be sexist and invalidating.
