In the West, very few couples marry without there having been some true desire at first. Maybe she had desired other men more in her past; but there was sufficient desire for the husband that having sex with him was viewed as a net positive. At first. With New Relationship Energy, novelty, and youth. Over time, that desire can go down, even to the point where sex is now a net negative for her.

It's all very different with an arranged marriage. In theory, more modern arranged marriages are supposed to check for sufficient physical compatibility and then hope that attraction grows with mutual affection and respect. But if checking for physical compatibility was not done well, then you are in trouble. The most you could do is aggressively and quickly self-improve in terms of demeanor and looks and see what happens. Or just stop having sex except to reproduce.

I bet my ex-wife thought I was a pretty safe option.

Sex was great, if anything she's the one who thought we weren't having enough of it (probably right and due to me masturbating, though we did do it twice a week).

I turned out to be the least safe option, as somewhere along the way I decided I want to have casual sex with other girls, and I dragged the decision for too long of a time (lesson for girls: don't push a guy into marriage if he doesn't seem like he's up for it, YMMV).

Anyway my point is - being the safe option doesn't mean being settled for, beta or unattractive - it just means you're not a volatile meathead

EDIT: I didn't cheat on her, but we broke up because of me wanting to have sex with other girls - doesn't jive well with marriage. Our relationship was 9 years long, so the safe option theory kinda didn't work out

Hahaha. My wife and I joke that I'm a beta. Im not a manly man. But she doesnt want a manly man. My sensitivity doesn't hurt our sex life. You don't need muscles or a six pack to be an equal and respectful partner.

There are no such things as beta or alpha males in humans. This was only made up by the "Chads" who get laid but are bitter because they'll never be chosen for a meaningful relationship. I was very muscular and fit when I met my now ex-wife but not really good-looking. My ex-wife is beautiful, imo even though she is overweight. She never saw me that way, and we had a meaningful relationship until I got sick. Most women want a guy they can respect and have fun with.
