Most healthy women, like to cuddle and bond afterwards and need to know that her needs and wants matter too. Sounds like she wanted to build a relationship with you and the way you did things in the hour or two after or the following days left her with the impression you just wanted to use her for sex. Take the L for now, get into some therapy around this issue, and once you’ve had a breakthrough and are doing better maybe look her up and if you’ve done the work you’ll have an easier time knowing what to say.

She said she felt discarded and you're response was "my bad"? Even if you didn't realize she wanted texts and emotional support afterwards, you should have listened to her and apologized and tried to make it up to her and prove that you'd fulfill her emotional needs in the future.

Don't try to get back with this young woman or any woman until you can figure out how to be emotionally supportive and empathetic to your partner's needs.

Feeling discarded means she felt used for just sex with no sentimental investment. You’ve always got to cuddle and kiss after sex with a woman. It’s a small thing but means a huge deal to us. Tell her you’d like to meet again to just snuggle up and watch films and kiss or something.

The question is why did she feel that way? Hard to say. What did you do after sex? Did you come and fall asleep or did you try to make sure she was satisfied too? And then in the days after, did you keep up conversation or drop off a bit?

I'll be honest, my wife eventually told me that she felt this way about our early dating, because we would hang out and do whatever and then I wouldn't text much in the days following. In my mind it was just like oh, I'm just not much of a texter, and she seems busy a lot (she was working on a PhD). But you have to look at it from the perspective of women, they get used for sex a LOT, often by guys who are good at faking interest in them. So there can be a lot of insecurity there and it helps to do whatever you can to show that you are truly interested and remain present.

There are actually a lot of possibilities, what I would do in your case is that I will pull away, If she wants to see you she will text you, but dont pursue her rn

I have read once that after such an expirience girls need some time to rethink their emotions and that is why they are pulling away.

Sounds like you dropped the ball when she said she felt discarded and you didn't make the effort to communicate on the why's and how to make it better. I don't believe in ghosting regardless, but it seems you have your answer why. You're young, this is a learning opportunity. Learn from it and move on.
