Do you guys think this is a good plan? Please poke holes in my plans because I can't afford to make mistakes. I'm 32 years old and am not getting any younger.

So I'm in the process of selling my house, 50% will be going towards my ex-spouse. I will getting close to $20,000 after fees, commission, and repairs. It's already I escorow and divorced from the devil woman is finalized.

I am a veteran and considering moving to TX, currently in CA. I really want to join Border Patrol, since I miss the Marine Corps alot.

So, my plan is to move on base in Camp Pendleton on the RV park ($450 water, electric, sewage) for 4 or 5 months and use the base gym to get in shape for the Border Patrol academy. I want to lose at least 100lbs. I'm 280lbs and want to be at a health 180lbs.

I already have a Truck and little Toy Hauler, Border Patrol will offer $20k to $30k bonus for joining and passing and potentially will get TX as duty station given the situation there.

I will use the VA homeloan for the 2nd time to buy a house in TX.

Reason why TX, I feel like TX aligns more with my love for the America and lady liberty. I'm a first generation immigrant myself, served my country and got my citizenship. My biggest regret was my ex-spouse for that liberal ass LA city, biggest mistake ever.

Anyways, what do you think?

Feb 28: Home will finally sold March - June: live on base, work out March - apply for BPA position under VRA to expedite the process. June - August: Should have a decision from BPA for job offer. I believe the Academy is about 3 months. My goal is by the end of this year to have moved to TX, start new job, and just be successful again.

Please tell me what you think and if this is good or if you have any recommendations, tips, or advice.
