There are things that give anyone confidence, some can be developed, other's not so much. The manner in which a person is raised has a very strong impact on their level of confidence. If they had parents who were supportive, encouraged a strong work ethic and helped set goals, those elements would help build confidence. If the parents were critical, negative about the child's abilities and set limits to the child's potential, the adult is most likely to be self conscious. Those are things a person really has very little control over. Things that a person can do that will help build more confidence: do well in school or work, read books and develop your ability to hold an intelligent conversation, keep yourself in decent physical shape, set goals for achievements that are challenging etc. A fat sloppy, sit around and play video games, live their life in the internet guy isn't going to have much confidence.

The top thing that women want from a man is safety and protection. Women need to feel safe and protected because they are physically weaker, they are more vulnerable and when carrying a baby this vulnerability increases 10 fold.

This is the reason why many women prefer a tall guy or a muscular guy or a rich guy. These are all traits that signal that a guy can offer protection. Of course, it is simply a feeling because being tall doesn't guarantee that you can fight off predators or male intruders. But people do tend to be bit more intimidated by height in a fight, so there you. This is also where confidence comes in, because feeling confident ina guy that he can handle any situation and that he can lead is akin to safety and protection.

But there is one thing that tends to trump all of these things or at least it can give you an edge that not many other men posses, and that thing is lack of fear. Everyone knows that a guy who lacks fear is capable of anything and that's intimidating.

So where does that leave you? Well, you need to face your fears, become a man. There is no way around it, no magical bullet to solve all your problems. You need to get off your ass and face your fears every day. If you can't even go to a girl and express to her directly that you like her, how can she rely on you to protect her from the dangerous world?

Simply put, someone who has a healthy relationship with themself and loves themself. You’ll know you’ve become that person when you start holding yourself accountable, enjoy being around yourself, set proper (healthy) boundaries, chase your goals with some level of obsession, are a man of your word, are an eager student, etc.

You’ll have to learn what being a man truly means to you but also be willing to be flexible with that definition.

To me it means a man who stands up for what he believes in, and who has passions/hobbies that he pursues thar he’s confident about. It doesn’t mean a guy has to know what to do or how to act in bed or with a girl in general. But shouldn’t always stay quiet, always give in when he in truth wants something else, or flee the scene when he gets uncomfortable.

Like how you described. What women like and attracted to. One thing. Status. If you can convey that you have status you can get girls. Like I'm usually a chill, not give af about anything or anyone type of guy who's dominant, confident and assertive when I have to talk to girls and it works. If you can lead an interaction that shows that you get used to it and you're good at it. If you're not afraid to hurt but rather offend others to stand up for the truth that means that you have been rewarded for that in the past. If you're don't give af about what others think of you it means that you don't have to because you already have status and you don't have to be scared to loose your position and please other people for no reason. That's why fuck boys or tough guys can get girls because it's an honest signal that they have value and status
