My mother is very strict, she has been all my life. She controls the household and my dad does whatever she says. Her rule is absolute etc. my theory is that if you have a stricter mother, your relationships with women will tend to be more difficult because you associate "women" with the "mother". For most of your developing life, your interactions with women have been very limited (unless you have sisters, but then generally they take after their mother also so you have a double wammie) being mostly around your mother or sisters. If they are strict and demand respect, you are almost always conditioned to almost fear them, give into their demands and watch out for "your tone" (your tone around women is conditioned to be very apologetic, beta and non-assertive). Almost always I have seen this in men with strong/domineering mothers, my fathers mother was like that and he has never learned really to be truely assertive. My mother is very strict and I have just gotten into pick up with has helped with my assertiveness and attitude when around women. What do you think Seddit?
