For the most part, I've always lurked and read, and I rarely ever post. That being the case, I decided that this recent experience could help others save time in the field.

My background

I turn 22 in a couple days, that being the case I promised myself that I would surpass my personal fears towards rejection - particularly physical escalation - before said date. I have read and studied a variety of different seduction material and out of all of said material - inner game has been the most effective for me. Yet I am by far no professional, my limiting beliefs held me back greatly from closing altogether, on top of that several girls have thrown themselves at me (sensually) only for me to shut down and sabotage their effort. (All of this was subconscious BTW, I saw it happen like a terrible accident but could do nothing to prevent it)

So heres what happened A girl I met at a local yoga studio (whose personality and flexibility had me quite compelled to experience both qualities) had start to hit off quite well. Because we were both regulars there, it was easy to open and from there we went out several times. Despite my studies, I caught myself AFCing around her and decided that my tactics had to change, otherwise I would surely lose her. This preoccupation seeped into my personality and actually made the situation worse. At this point, I had gone from bad to worse, spiraling down like a fallen jet without an eject button in sight. I was determined to make something out of this but i didnt know what.

The next night we hung out, sparks flew and I kissed her. (I had a previous sob story that I held onto believing that physical escalation was emotionally dangerous for me) But I f#$king did it.I manned up, and allowed myself to deal with my fear, and by doing so, I felt invulnerable. Unstoppable.

Now by this time you may be guessing that through some incredible feat I managed to win the girl over and now about to reveal how said magic occurred.

Nope, on the contrary, I ended up breaking all contact after that night, she attempted to friend zone me and I politely declined and wished her all the best.

Although I didn't get the girl, I got something much more valuable because of it. I learned to no longer rely in validation of external events or people in order to feel good about myself. Regardless of how things ended with this girl, I radically improved my odds toward any future interactions. When I dealt with my true rival, myself, and proved victor - I was the hero of my own story. So that's it gents, learn to enjoy the process, I'm certain I'll be highly successful in this field later on, but until then; I'll enjoy the process.

You only need to learn once.

EDIT:

I'm impressed by the amount of conversation and discussion taking place just off of this simple post. I didn't expect that many people to be reading it, otherwise I would've thought twice before writing it out of my phone. On another note: I also gained some valuable personal insight regarding rejection from some of the members here, that sounds like an interesting post I can cover in the future.
