I walked out of the coffee shop filled with anger and shame. I had been there to work, but there was also a really cute girl sitting all by herself. I had really wanted to talk to her, and tried to catch her glance a few times; but she was super busy in her work. So, instead of taking a chance and introducing myself, I left, feeling incredibly frustrated with my lack of courage and my giving in to fear.

I kept thinking about why it was so hard for me to approach. And I think an idea came to me which I think is both very logical and true: inexperienced guys are afraid of approaching simply because they have not found success with approaching. Often, guys new to game will strike out many times at first. This kind of failure messes with their internal model of the world, and basically they feel like they will always be rejected. Which makes them even more afraid of approaching.

What is the solution? There is a lot of material about that here, so I won't even try to give a solution. This was basically a comment on why its seems so fucking hard to approach women when you have little or negative prior experience.
