I've dated a lot of hot girls, several of them models. I can tell you from experience that they actually get very little quality attention. The guys they might find interesting are always intimidated and afraid to talk to them, and the guys who do talk to them are usually douchebags who just see a pretty "thing" that they can impress with their boat or fancy car and then fuck and throw away. Yes, they have options, but they usually don't like those options and they tend to be lonely, frustrated, and desperate for a normal relationship.

Once you truly accept and internalize this truth, and take the opportunity to treat a beautiful woman as a person rather than a collection of pretty body parts, you will often find that they are very receptive and quite lovely to date.

It seems that the shyer men that have ‘finally’ approached me really have to work up the courage and are intimidated I’m sure by reasons that you list.

It IS usually the cocky arrogant men that approach and sadly they don’t usually have good intentions. And they certainly are not the men I’d like to be talking with, whether it leads to something or not..

So please, shy men, go talk to the girl, and don’t worry about cheesy pickup lines or trying to impress. Just be yourself. Everyone is human.

If girls were more honest & open about sex, it would help men to treat them better at times. Some are so double standard (accepting drinks all night from a guy then turning around & saying they are going home to their boyfriend or just walking off & leaving), when it was obvious the guy was putting in a lot of effort to attract her), others just ignore a guy when he approaches her & other turn offs for the guy. I am not saying all, but a lot go out with girlfriends on the hope of finding the right guy, but set their standards too high or don't even give a guy to show who is is.

On the other hand a lot of guys are just out for sex & don't put any effort in in trying to win the girl over. All the pickup lines & innuendos most girls have heard before & it just doesn't work most of the time. If both sexes were more open with what they were out for/looking to do, then people would have more enjoyment on their nights out.

I once had a girl (beautiful but not a model type) who came into the freight office where I worked to pick up personal effects she had sent from her home country out to the city where we both lived & asked if I knew of any handymen she could hire to reassemble a few items her father have "broken down" to make into tidier packages. I asked where she was living & found it was about 500 metres from where I was renting & offered to come & have a look & see if I could do the job for her.

Turned up at her place & in a couple of hours, had everything done for her & even assembled a bed she had bought & had delivered that day. When I refused payment (cash), she said at least have a drink with her, which I did & she started to prepare an evening meal for both of us, asking if I had to leave early, which I said I didn't as I had 3 days off before my next shift. She said that was great as we could have more drinks, eat then as she was horny, we could try out her bed to see if it withstood vigorous "testing" by two people & see how my handy work stood up to it.

It was obvious what she wanted, we both new where we stood & had a fabulous night & many more over the 12 months she spent in the country before returning to UK. We continued to have the occasional nights together (even at her parents home with their "blessing" as I traveled fairly often to the UK, but in the end she met a local guy & ended up marrying him. I remained friends with her & her family until I left my job & returned home to my city of birth & haven't had a chance to get back to the UK since.

I'm a 30 year old woman who just stumbled on this sub; THIS is so true. There's also this assumption in western society that men across the board have higher sex drives than women. That's simply not true. I just got out of an almost 2 year relationship with a man who would have been happy having sex once a month. I'm someone who is very into "physical touch" as a love language when I'm in a relationship and having good sex consistently is really important to me - I didn't realize how important until I was with someone with whom I felt like I was always being turned down.

There are plenty of women out there who are receptive to having casual sex. But understand that women spend a lot of their lives hyper vigilant. Every close friend of mine has been sexually assaulted, and I have been as well. Understand that if you have a negative attitude towards women when you're out, we might pick up on that. We want to feel safe, that we can trust you.

I have several friends who continued to hook up with a partner they met out because he cared about whether they were having a good time, put in the effort, asked what she wanted, etc. Not because they were fishing for a relationship with him, but because they felt safe and wanted to have good sex (like most humans). Most women are not setting some impossible bar.

Further, I think men forget that some women are shy too! A lot of women don't have loads of guys approaching them, because we're just plain introverted, we might be that cute wallflower rather than the hottie dancing in a crowd, but it doesn't mean we not receptive.

I always found slut shaming to be sarcastic to some degree, sex is a pretty normal thing biologically speaking. I also feel like it's somewhat easier to pull older women because of this whole "slut" concept. i see what you're saying w/ this, and I agree this mindset can be toxic sometimes. But if you're ever doubting the amount of options even a basic woman has (not even a particularly attractive one) just put the girl filter on yourself, make a tinder, and see how much attention and matches you get. It's pretty eye-opening. never did this myself but there are plenty of youtube videos on it, and if a guy on a snapchat girl filter gets that much attention I can't imagine how much even an average looking girl gets.

That being said, not every girl has Tinder/online dating and are more open to dating someone they meet in-person than online
