Sorry if the titles confusing, I wanted to post this asap. Anyway, I'm standing at the train station waiting to get picked up and this girl stands right next to me; it's raining so there's not much space.

Anyway, I'm thinking to myself should I say something, etc and I start creating this anxiety in my mind. I'm thinking wow I'm just going to regret this after if I don't say shit. I came to the conclusion I wasn't going to say anything. Next thing you know I hear her talking about her bus is late, so I just casually ask a question about it being late. Next think you know I'm having a full on conversation with her and she starts asking me questions about my school, etc. and we just start chatting. Conversation was cut short because her bus ended up coming; I told her goodbye and have a nice ride.

Wow, I'm proud of myself. Never did anything like this before and it's now making me want to do it more. I love this feeling. I could tell I was getting a little nervous while walking, but whatever practice makes perfect. I still have problems looking people in the eye while talking, as well as stuttering my words. But wow, I would have never thought to even do this.

I have a huge smile on my face right now.

That was the first of many. I am so glad I found this sub along with all the encouragement; tips, advice, etc.

EDIT

Thank you EVERYONE for your responses and uplifting words. You guys are very supportive and encouraging. I love it. Tomorrow, I am going to spend a few hours downtown and literally talk to everyone - going to keep this going
