Title is self explanatory. I am a female and I frequent NYC a lot. I think there’s a chance I’ll be punched. Luckily I carry a knife and pepper spray on me all the time and I’m not scared to use it on anyone regardless of gender. *EVERYONE, MALE AND FEMALE, GET KNIVES AND PEPPER SPRAY. I’m not oblivious to the fact that a lot of violent crime is between two males, defend yourselves. I really wish I could carry a gun. *

But really, I am a petite person. 99% of men are larger than me. So my question is, who in their right mind would see someone significantly smaller (I’m about 5’2 and 115 lbs) and decide it’s fair game. It’s almost like hitting a minor ahaha . In fact, there’s high schoolers and people younger than me who are taller and weigh more, but hitting a minor is out of the question right?

We will never be equal. I think feminism does recognize this. Biologically speaking, we are not equal. Because of this, we have to make compromises for each other. It’s like hurting someone you know is physically or mentally delayed, it isn’t fair game.

Women can defend themselves with other things I suppose, knives and pepper spray. It gets a little funky with the law, because if someone tries to rob you, you can’t just stab them. Regardless though, this normalization of hitting women is going to increase the use of potentially unjustified stabbings if a woman feels she is in a threatening situation.

Normalization of hitting women simply because of equality is going to create an inverse effect. You men don’t want this. Woman don’t want this.
