LOL your title reminded me of a funny divorce joke:

I think you're doing a good thing, just don't pay attention to what the mom does, I say treat it as though it comes from the kid or ignore it. I send my daughter home with stuff all the time. We do big projects for Mothers Day, for Mom's BDay, all the holidays. I see a lot of people seem to be against that. But I say someday my daughter will be an adult, she will remember that Dad never gave a shit about the drama, he did stuff that was a lot of fun doing together, stuff that taught consideration, empathy, caring, etc. And my daughter is happy because she gives something to her mom that makes them both smile. I don't give a fuck what anyone else in either family thinks about what she takes home, what happens to it or what if anything comes back my way but my kid won't know a bitter dad. That's exactly why I left.

I gave up on anything like this. Mother’s Day is on them. Christmas, birthdays, the same. I have no part in propping up the kids efforts.

I don't send my kid with anything that my ex can enjoy... Except bday/Xmas presents, because I want my kid to be able to give their mom gifts. That being said, I never get presents from my kid that she purchased. Any good thing I might do for her will get thrown in my face later... I learned this soon after I moved out, I let my ex into my apartment to use the bathroom, and the next time I saw her she started bringing up the things I had purchased for my apartment (like a TV) and how I'm financially abusing her while living the good life.
