Similar deal. I’d get rage texts after she’d gotten into her wine in the evenings and it was affecting my sleep. So, I just blocked her. When she has to send you an email or use a parenting app, things are more business like. Texts are too easy to just drop a shitty comment to someone.

After a month or two, I opened it back up and she was friendlier over text after that.

**Also, get a program for your computer to download all of your texts into a format that the court will accept. No judge wants 1000 pages of phone screenshots printed out.

My ex does this same thing. Long ass texts riddled riddled with insults and heckling, Just trying to get a rise out of me.

I changed her notification sound to be a turkey gobble, and it has greatly improved my mental health! 🦃

Listen to your attorney. General rule: you let her push your buttons, she wins. You don't react, you win. Imagine how much time she's spending on this, you're living rent free in her head - every time you get one of these messages, smile.

Practically, mute her notifications so her messages don't control your time.

It really is interesting how the ex spams the hell outta me with her dumbass shit when I have the kids. I can almost see the anger on her face as the messages come in with her wanting (and failing) to dictate what goes on on my parenting time. The loss of control from me divorcing her is what bothers her the most. Don't respond, it only encourages her.

If you think about this practically she is using the messaging to YOU as free therapy, either start charging her to read it like a therapist would or ignore

It's funny how people file for divorce sure that this will solve their problems... then wonder why problems are getting worse... paragraph messages are her processing the getting worse part

Lol not to make light of your situation but my STBXW has also been texting me word vomit also. I do nothing and let her ramble on. I'm not going to add anything else she can use against me in a courthouse.

Print them all out. Have a nice binder to put them all in. Add any relevant notes like if she sent a text or made a phone call and why was said. Judges like hard evidence. Having a chronological binder with her bull shit is hard evidence. The more you can support her crazy character with evidence- the better off you will be.

What Judges do not like! - threats and blackmail - especially if she is using the kids.

Is she violating the custody or divorce agreement? Document those as well. Do not let her know you are. Never tell your enemy what you’re going to do.

You need to institute an app like our family wizard, and block all other forms of communication.

Have the app written in your agreements by your lawyer, as the app is court reviewed. So if she wants to mouth off in there and look terrible on the record, she can feel free.
