I've never really made a post about this, but I feel like it might help anyone here who is searching for “what do I do now?” or “how do I move forward?”

My relationship of over a decade ended in a very painful way. My partner cheated, brought the new person into our home after just a week, and I had to endure hearing them together while I thought we were trying to fix things.

I lost my home, car, furniture, savings, pets, entire friend group, and her family. Everything was gone within a month.

The first weeks were incredibly tough. I ended up living with people I barely knew, trying to keep my business running, and staying silent publicly because she is in the public eye. My ex and her new partner spread false narratives about me being depressed and crazy, which many believed.

With barely any clothes and feeling lost, I had to figure out how to heal. I started exercising outside because I couldn't afford a gym. This, along with work, kept me sane while I battled depression and intrusive thoughts.

After two months of focusing on myself and my work, I decided to explore the dating world, something I had never done before. I tried a dating app called Raya. While there were many attractive people, it felt superficial and didn't really click for me.

Six months later, I had been on a few dates with women from different cultures and learned a lot about myself. I realized dating was like having a verbal resume, something I had to get used to.

Now, ten months in, I've lost a lot of weight and many of my stress-related health issues have improved. I'm eating properly, my IBS is gone, and I'm sleeping better.

A year has passed. My business is thriving, I have a new group of friends, and I've moved past my past. No one in my current circle knows my ex, which feels liberating. I'm now happily talking to someone new and taking things slow, giving myself the break I deserve.

I just want to say, if you are reading this and think life is over and she was the best thing in life and you have it hard. You’ve got this and life does get better if you put the effort in 👍🏼 and yes you can find someone better.
