I’d say start working out or lifting if you aren’t. You’ll look better in clothes, be more confident, and build discipline. Learn to dress better, follow people online for inspiration (recommend Well Built Style on twitter and Brand Balfour). Smell good, look into fragrances and find a signature scent or scents for different occasions. Go out more, socialize with women AND men, learn to be charming and kind. Pay attention to emotional intelligence, women appreciate a guy who has a high EQ and is considerate of their emotions and also is in tune with their own. Be career driven and learn to make more money. Have a provider mindset but also never lose focus of your own goals and ambitions. It’s a grind but it’ll pay tenfold in the future. Learn healthy mental and physical habits. Anyone can do all of this

have some belief in yourself and your appeal as a person
practice conversation (ideally within a context that makes it easy, like a social event centered around an interest of yours)

Being approachable and warm should go without saying but I said it anyway. Do that and put in the reps. Regret hurts more than rejection.

Now is the time to focus on being a good student graduating near the top of your class, and going to the school’s gym regularly. You should be building your foundation for your career (wealth) and body (health). If you are not a natural with girls, it will take effort to learn game and practice, I recommended doing that after you start your career.

You know what you have to do, get in the gym, chicks don’t like pudgy nerds, at some level you have to have physicality, girls don’t tell you but they size you up immediately and within 3 seconds have built a profile on you based on how you carry yourself and your build.

Lose weight, get a makeover - haircut, new clothes, contacts instead of glasses. If you actually could be bothered with any of this stuff, you’d look up online or YouTube on how to improve your looks and social skills. In this day and age, there is no excuse for a man to look like shit and not to be able to socialize properly given all the free resources he can find online.

Long answer here. I'm under the assumption you want a genuine relationship with someone.

Social skills : are you able to create good, genuine friendships with new people ? Not asking you to be a social butterfly of course. Do you actually listen to people talking, ask questions, care about them, put yourself in their shoes? Are you a genuine friend to them ? If you do, you have all the "social skills"you need. A girlfriend is after all just a particular kind of friend. If not, start there.

Mindset : Becoming a person that "attracts" women is a terrible idea. Girlfriends aren't an achievement you unlock after completing quests. A relationship is a connection between two human beings that care for each other. Please stay true to yourself because otherwise you will suffer deeply even if you do get a girlfriend, as she would be attracted to a facade, not you.

Physical traits : Do you take care of yourself ? Skincare, hair hygiene, teeth, nails, body odor, etc are you on point on these things ? If not, look around, there are plenty of good advices on these subjects. Are you comfortable with your weight ? Remember being a bit overweight is completely fine, having a dad bod is fine. Taking up or pursuing a sport you love is definitely a good idea. Doesn't have to be the gym. These last Olympics remind us that an athlete can take every shape and form. As long as you are enjoying the sport, you do you. Hitting the gym is not the definitive answer.

Mental traits : Do you have any mental issues ? Remember, don't be ashamed about them. Look for therapists and people to help you deal with them. (I'm not knowledgeable at all on these topics, that's why it's a bit simplistic)

Hobbies : Are you an interesting person ? Do you have hobbies you are passionate about ? Being a grad student, I imagine you have, at least in your field ? Even if you are not, what are you interested in ? Remeber to take time to develop these things. Oh and being passionate about your job is not necessary but a great plus !

To put it simply : be a decent human being, a great friend and take your time

Last note, but it's subjective : I don't believe you need to be "perfect and fine alone" from the get-go, we humans are social animals and are in deep need of social connections. In my opinion, you can and need to grow during relationships.

Honestly, just invest in yourself and embody the version of yourself that if you were to meet in person, you’d respect them and admire them.

Get in shape, eat healthy, have good hygiene/grooming, pursue passions/hobbies, educate yourself (be well read or knowledgeable), make friends and develop a friend group, try to increase your cash flow, have a purpose and sense of direction for your life.

Be the man that women want: generally masculine, well dressed, confident, in shape (don’t have to be overly muscular, but healthy), non-needy, friendly, kind, and can hold a conversation.

^being this will set you apart from most of your “competition,” or the general male population. Women who are attracted to you will make it easy for you. But you first have to make yourself desirable.

I think you are asking a wrong question. It is better than “how do I attract women”, but still.

The right question is: what kind of person do you need to become, such that having women interested in you would be a side effect of who you are?

You obviously need to work on your looks, but even more: how do you adopt the right mentality? Go out of the weirdo zone?

Join a dance class, like salsa or bachata (makes you comfortable with physical contact, helps to relax). Go do some improv comedy or other theatrical art (makes you better at talking and relaxed).

Harder way is to go do some cold sales.

To work on your masculinity, join a martial arts class.

To work on your self esteem go into psychotherapy. That was the biggest change for me.

Last, but not least money: you need to figure out, how to earn at least above average among the guys who compete with you for the same category of women.

You want to become alpha, not just attract women.

A big thing I’ve noticed is dressing for your height. We’re the same height but my clothes / proportions look in line. I am in shape, wider up top, and slimmer below so when I wear slim fitting clothes that are tailored to my length, it doesn’t make you look “shorter” compared to a very boxy outfit. It also signals you pay attention to smaller details.

All you have to do is look at your competition and do better. The bar is so low nowadays it's easy. Girls that are half my age want me simply because guys like you aren't stepping up but you can. Be masculine follow men who are masculine like Elon , Dana and Tate.

Find a role model who looks like you and try to become him.

I had a neighbour and he was 6'4 athletic attractive and had fantastic girlfriends. As a kid I wanted to be him. I actually did become him over time. My model is Tate now because he is bald tall and athletic which is like me.

Don't listen to feminists or the media they are the reason why guys today are so weak. Don't listen to people who aren't where you want to be.

Learn what masculinity is and follow it. That one thing will put you way in the pecking order.

Just be a MAN.
