I hate to say it, but giving her about everything she wants is one way to avoid trial. You might think it's awful, but it may just be better in the long run. One thing you can do is argue about something you don't really care about, then concede it. Like if you have a boat. Argue passionately you are keeping that dam boat!! Then give in, ok fine, bitch you can have the boat. (in mediation). You got off easy, don't have expensive boat you don't need, she thinks she won, and you were moving her more towards settlement and finishing this off.

Do not agree to a bad deal. You likely will fair better at trial than you think.

It's something on the order of 5%. But don't let your fear of trial make you take a bad deal that you'll be regretting for years. Your STBX has just as much to lose in a courtroom as you do, and the walk up the courthouse steps where a stranger in robes will decide her fate is very often enough to get her to be reasonable long enough to get a deal signed. If she's being unreasonable in mediation, a " OK let's just see what the judge says" before you pack up and walk out is all you need. Many many deals get done in the halls outside the courtroom when a trial is about to happen.
