I would communicate early on something like “I’d love to take you out to [insert activity/location].” Or, after drop enough hints/flirting, “I’m going to [insert activity/location], would enjoy your company, and I have another venue in mind but want to keep it a surprise.” You have to be honest, vulnerable, and establish up front that you are interested in them as a potential partner, not a platonic friend. That happens when you assume that they know rather than making it clear from the beginning.

The default assumption all women will make is that you are being just friendly, so if you think “oh well, it’s obvious that i am a guy, and that i gave her a compliment, so she clearly must know” well don’t.

Make it clear that you are hitting on her and if every girl is assuming this is as friends then you need to make it far more clear.

Make things more sexually tense, tell them that you find her smile sexy, that you can’t concentrate when she looks at you in a such a sexy way, stuff like that to make it clear that you are thinking of her in a sexual way.

Even say the word date, like: “I’m taking you out on a date”.

Don’t just say “We should hangout sometime”. The words “hangout” or “go out” is for friends.

You have to tell her that “You are taking her out on a date”, not ask “wanna go out with me to do x activity?” You are implying that you are taking her out because it is decided, not just asking whether she would like to.

But even then you still need to make things sexual about how you find her sexy.

Listen, do you watch a YouTube video based on how they look? Maybe, initially to some small extent. What buys you in for the long haul is substance, energy, production, delivery, how you present yourself moment to moment. Usually a lack in sex appeal, you can look “beautiful” but not the type of good looking that girls get off too.

To share my pov, I am someone who always got tons of compliments by guys, women (both cold and within friend groups) about how good/pretty/cute I am I look, tons of matches on dating apps, blah blah.

But I came to learn I have a very unintimidating/innocent look to myself. Good looking women were always willing to be around me and comment how safe I make them feel, everything but having sex with them which was a complete mind fuck.

I learned that women aren’t friends with people they find unattractive, no one wants to associate with unattractive people. It def clicked for me that I was just a different type of good looking, just not the type that gets girls wet, and you may be too.

just work on looking more masculine , there are certain forums that cater to the subject of sex appeal vs aesthetics that will give you an idea but do your own research.

How are you meeting these girls and getting their number? It's unlikely that the problem is your looks. They either see you as a "nice guy" or gay if they are responding but clarifying that it's not romantic.

It's likely that you're not showing enough intent. You're having platonic exchanges of information. You need to tease and sexualize the conversation. You're probably being nice and cordial, and not taking enough risks conversationally.

You must be doing something right that women are willing to hang out with you. This says you're likely building comfort and value; they trust you to hang out and there's reason enough to spend time with you vs something/one else.

Use that platform to escalate, and start doing so earlier on in your interactions so it doesn't come from left field.

I'm a woman and, reading the comments, I can't help but feel that many men are over-complicating things. The answer is simple. You need to be more DIRECT about your intentions. When you ask them out, you need to say:

"I am interested in you. I want to ask you out on a date."

That way, there is no confusion.

You said in your post, "I thought women knew right away when we're interested in them." No, we don't. You need to not assume people can read your mind. If there is confusion, you are not being direct enough.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the easiest solution, actually say that you want a date. Yes, it's important to show sexual/romantic interest but it isn't always enough. Explicitly ask them them out on a date by using the word 'date' not 'hang out' or just 'take you out'.

Because women still crave the security of a man.... the attention only a man can give. But thats thing.... From my experience early on... if you are hanging out as a friend too much she will become exactly that.

If she is talking about how she is seeing another guy.. and your thoughts about her are sexual... then thats is where you part ways brother. Be high value and find someone who will give you that connection.

In order to avoid this in the future, you've got to use date language like saying, "What are you doing Friday night? I'd like to take you out!". If you say, "I'd like to hang out with you." Or "Let's hang out" it sounds like you just want to be friends.

You should also make eye contact and stand close to her. Lightly touch her when talking. She should have no question what you're interested in.

This way it forces her to make a decision. She can reject you totally, or suggest you go out as friends(which should be a huge "No" from you), or go out on a date, where sex might happen.
