This is an ongoing drama. Getting divorced but currently living in the same home. Wife moved her step father in about a year ago after I said I didn't want him there. I went away to work for a week and when I came bed she had moved him in.

So my wife has been sleeping around. We have 2 kids, a 1 year old and a 4 year old. She has been abandoning the kids several nights a week at 11pm and doesn't return home until whenever.

I did not realize she had left the house last night and heard the baby screaming for about 20 minutes so I went to take her and to try and soothe her.

As I walked into her room, her step dad was laying in the bed with the baby on his stomach. I said where is ***** and he said fuck off piss off out of here.

I said give me the baby and again he cussed at me.

I left the room and thought it would be beneficial to record a video showing that this women just constantly leaves her children.

When I went up to the room I opened the door and he was and lunged at me grabbing me by the throat and pushed me back whilst closing the door.

I called the police and they took both stories. He said that I punched him in the stomach. I swear on my kids lives that did not happen however somehow it looked like they didn't believe me so I questioned the cop by saying it wasn't even physically possible to assault him because the first time he was laying in bed with the baby and the second time I entered the room I was filming and clearly shows nothing but him assaulting me.

Can I file a restraining order in the morning, what are my options here. Both of them are compulsive liars and are dangerous in my opinion
