I’m convinced reasonable people don’t say this. If someone does say this, and they mean it, you can safely disregard their opinion.

Originally, I believe the phrase was used in the abortion debate, and in that context it’s just a blatantly bad take. I’m pro-choice, because life is complicated and I think people need options, but my catholic family are pro-life and their perfectly valid argument is about protecting life in the womb. The difference in opinion is at its core the question of whether human life begins at conception or some time later on when the brain develops. The sane version of pro-life is more “the child’s body, not your choice.” It’s definitely not about just trying to control women.

Is a phrase that could (and possibly has) been used in relation to several men’s rights issues:

Circumcision: “Your Body, My Choice”

Drafting: “Your Body, My Choice”

Female on Male Abuse & Sexual Abuse: “Your Body, My Choice”

But as always, it’s only considered “wrong” when it relates to women’s problems.

I agree, and even “my body, my choice” is misleading. People using their bodies to harm others is often restricted, and that’s the premise upon which some states have abortion bans or restrictions: The abortion issue is about how to balance one person’s right to do as they please against the rights of a developing fetus.

I think Greedy-Ambition gives great real life examples of “your body, my choice”.

There a lot of weird standers. And rope pull back and forth.

Like the her money is her money. His money is our money.

And the more harsher or unfair people treat a side. The more radical they will more likely become.

And there a lot of women treating a lot of men like trash. So you get a growing groups of radical men heavily against women.

Thats kinda how we create or own monsters in the world by how we treat people.

But being mean and selfish. Gets more rewarded now a days then being kind and respectful. So its a natural outcome you have much more radical opposition against women.

Not saying it's right. But it is a natural outcome. When people get stepped on often enough. They wanna do some stomping back.

What people normally would call karma. Or treating people how you wish to be treated.

And many people been treated very badly for a very long time so how you get radical anti women men.

Same reason how you also get anti men women. But often it's not fully by there lived experiences but often also just horror stories women tell each other. Cause being a victim gives a type of status. What makes it sadly hard to believe women. Cause the believe all women aspect with out proof. Like if a thing happens. And like 1 or 2 women did get abused . But many women also often get proven that it's impossible that they did abuse.

Its often can be quite for endless times many years. Then suddenly massive amount of women with basically no proof come forth with actuations. Sadly a common thing. And with no proof makes. The real ones get less believed. Or just by saying something. A innocent person could have his live be over. But it seems common that women are pulled in to the drama and trauma of a women. And also latches on to it. And make a trauma of a women or a frend suddenly also part of her lived expirance you especially see it often when women wanna act like they where ever slaves. Or like they where never free. You see a lot of trauma dumping of somone else trauma. And honestly, that's a big collective problem.

Cause it makes society heavily turn against women. And you get a massive over correction what happened with Islam in the 70ths.

But most people are mean or against a gender or race or group cause that group has wronged them often many many times. Does that make the whole group is like that of course not.

But if you met a bunch of dogs and every dog bites you how long would it take for you to or hate dogs or avoid dogs. Or if it keeps happening anyway over and over again even if you try and avoid dogs. That you try and fight want more places to ban dogs from being unleashed.

What's basically happening now. And only way those radical people stop haveing those views is haveing realy good women in there life. I had tons of realy bad experiences with women that it fucked up my life. But had some realy good ones too. If I had no good ones in my life i might be radical too. And thats probably the case for most people.

People are often only as good as the feel the can afford to be. You can say you been wronged a bunch of times you should be above that and not act or lash out or want revenge. But lets be honest that's not how the human nature is like. People remember who wronged them and made them suffer and often wish for them to suffer like they did. And that's the radical mindset.

Especially cause men don't have much of a "choice" of their own body in a lot of ways to begin with. So often a choice men never had to begin with is hard to take serious. Thats literally just means be more mindfull with protection. And don't have raw sex with random men. There like 27 ways of birth control. I right never given to men is hard to have sympathy for for women lose it when its in many way a right never given to men to begin with. And with the above statements. I think its clear why there people that think like that.

Even if I don't agree with it. Its funny how the world has to move heaven and earth for women's isues. But no one really cares the same when talking a bout men. And people wonder why there so much radical and extrame people in the world

No matter how the phrase is used about anyone, it's wrong and a disgusting attitude to have. We all want control over our own bodies without others deciding for us no matter the subject. Things like assisted dieing is another item where peoe are pushing their views on death onto others.

I've only really seen it as a parody of people saying "my body my choice" when they are really saying "your body my choice" to their own unborn baby, or also pointing out the hypocrisy of people who support bodily autonomy for women but then are basically saying "your body my choice" about men's issues for the draft or circumcision, or sexual assault against men.

Fully agree. It’s nothing more than intentionally inflammatory and an extremely disturbing slogan. They pretend it’s in relation to abortion but by doing that they’re only hurting their cause because they’re agreeing with feminists that it’s an issue of control over women’s bodies and not a moral question of life in the womb. That wasn't my first interpretation when I first heard it because it wasn't from the source material but stories that most assuredly "happened" if you catch my drift. Instead I understood it as "oh, you want the right to abort? I have a right not to sleep with women with murderous tendancies who might murder my son or daughter."

I know now that Nick Fuentes is the one who said it and he's just flat out an asshat. He just needs to go away because he is harming several movements with what he says in the name of them.

OP I am very sorry for what you went through, there should be equal standards in opposing physical and sexual abuse regardless of the gender of the perpetrator.

As a pro-life woman, I agree and I don't like this guy's slogan at all. It fuels tension between genders, it feeds the fear that this is what men and pro-lifers want, perverting the actual reason why we oppose abortion - that every human being should be granted an equal right to life. It shouldn't be anyone's choice to target an unborn child's body for destruction, but the way he phrased it seemed more like a threat of control by men on women than satire of pro-choice women's position towards their child (your body, my choice). As such we should distance ourselves from him and not give him any attention/power to influence others.

I've always seen it as an abortion thing. I want men to have a say whether or not their kid is going to be killed or not. At the very least, don't make him pay child support if he doesn't want it but she still does.
